It's certainly an expensive method of lighting your faaaag but if you're not paying the bills then you probably don't care

Elegantly swatting flour moths mid-air because they are a bit slow.

Not getting rid of them.

Smoking is not council. Some of the coolest, richest, most aristocratic people in the world smoked and do smoke tabs.

Sometimes smokers need a light.
Deal with it.

Used car dealers. Go to any car auction and you'll see... It's like the local flat-roofed pub is having a coffee morning.

PPI was certainly more of a middle class issue than working class issue, your average council tenant is more likely to use a doorstep lender/money shop rather than a high street bank therefore their exposure to PPI was most certainly lower.
There has been numerous threads on here regarding claiming and success in claiming.
A friend of mine works for one of the larger high street banks, and she frequently rants about some of the scum she gets in the banking hall. She said there are plenty of dole-scum types that are able to get loans; it is a case of 'computer says yes/no' on all applications, and as long as your credit score isn't horrendous and you have a regular income from a legitimate source, the computer couldn't give a st if it is from an employer or the DWP. I would expect the payday loan companies to have sold PPI too, but Kneecap Finance perhaps not.

Some of the tales she has told me of the shenanigans at the bank are quite worrying. They used to be under enormous pressure to hit lending targets, and it wasn't uncommon not just for staff to pressure customers into taking out PPI, but also falsifying documents if they declined.

I have had a couple of loans over the years, and I remember them trying to push me into ticking the PPI box. At the time I worked for a university, where you had to murder the vice chancellor to get sacked, redundancy always came with an enormous severance payment, and the pension scheme paid out big-time if you had to retire through ill-health. Naturally I declined, but a couple of years ago I received a letter saying some PPI policy I had with them had now been terminated. I wrote back and told them if this is correct, it was done without my knowledge and I wanted it refunding. Next I got a simple claim form, and a short while later it was refunded. If that makes me council, I'm off to drown my sorrows in a flat roof pub!

I was going to say the obligatory PH Massive "I dont usually read The Daily Mail but" Then it occurred to me I have looked at much worse on the internet so here goes.... fight, children's party, working mens club, kids up at 10pm in a drinking establishment and a woman kicking the fight off.

Owners of PPI Claims companies, who look like Goblins, taking their kids out of school to go to Disneyland on the basis that it is educational, completely ignorant of the fact that the kids of everyone else who plays by the rules suffer whilst the teacher plays catch-up on the lessons missed by said PPI Goblin's little darlings - Council.

My brother works in debt recovery for a major bank. The tales of mind blowing fkwittery are impressive, even more impressive is him telling me that it's just as likely to be a lawyer, solicitor or doctor up to their necks in debt due to their own stupidity and failure to understand the very basics of banking as anyone else.

Don't be a loozr - BUY DIS CROOZR

rofl

Quite like the seller's style - better than the usual piss poor attempts at 'funny' ebay car adds IMO.

Late to the party, but there is nothing council or wrong with drifting supermarket trolleys - I try to replicate an 'exhaust popping/backfiring on downshift' noise in my throat when I slow down for the twisty bits... sadly without success so far.

Bonus points should be awarded if you find yourself racing a stranger.
