Nope. That's her usual "look". And yes, it was her showing her gut the other day. Not my sort of girl, but there are many on here who would relish the chance........

I have a relative that sits there on benefits, I hadn't seen her for a while and we were chatting when she said it's pay day soon, I said oh you have a job now and she said no my benefits are due.

She thinks it's wages, they all think it's wages.
This really boils my piss. I know a number of folks having the high life on benefits and refer to it being 'paid'. Somehow it makes them feel better.

can't remember

I wonder what was going through her head when she was sat next to Matt Lucas in drag at the casting call.

if its true, its awful. But then she has to utter this gem (with regard to what else she would do with the money)

She is currently taking courses to make a living making silicone babies, which can be used by bereaved parents and to help stimulate people with dementia.

Now I know this is PH and we all bathe in champagne, but who saves up and keeps vast amounts of cash in a safe in their house ?

I remember being subjected to a loud argument between two beggars at my local railway station a few years ago.

The female beggar shouted to the male something along the lines of "I am sick and tired of you sitting at home all day whilst I come out here to work"

I remember being quite surprised at begging being termed as "work". At least they are doing something for it I suppose...

I was watching a documentary the other day on food banks.

Several of those queuing in the morning were stood smoking. Just does not compute.
I can understand it being hard to shrug off an addiction (although it's the first thing I'd kick if I was that hard up).

The Geordie python owner pisses me off more; I do reasonably well at work (I'm not rich but I'm fine) and I'd consider a python a pretty frivolous and extravagant thing to buy and would struggle to justify it.

The man owes £1000 to the court and spent over one third of that buying pythons.

“My snake was seized and I had to go and buy a new one two days later. That is £135 gone in one day, and then £200 the next time. Ridiculous.”
How did he "have to" buy another python? It's not part of the diet or shelter or a human right.

ETA: trowelhead, this isn't aimed at you. Just a rhetorical rant about that scummy man who threatened the kebab shop worker smile

If she can save three grand out of benefits, then benefits are too generous. There's some third party income going on there.

I don't think it says that she saved the money from benefits. For all we know, she has her own income. She doesn't seem to be scummy necessarily, but by association with her ex husband she has to be

I thought of this thread when I saw her gut hanging out on CS last night. Obviously I don't watchi iti, the missus does, I just keep an eye out for any passing eye candy whilst poring scorn over it/checking out barges on PH on my iPad.

Problem is Vue is the best cinema in the area, but they have recently reduced the ticket price to £4.99,brings out the knuckle draggers.
When my daughter was younger we regularly used to go to the local Vue cinema on a Sunday afternoon for a bit of Father/ Daughter time. Had to stop in the end though as the level of Council was just too much to bare.

I'd sit there getting so stressed out at the behaviour of the local scrotes until finally I'd have to have a quiet word with them. To shut the fk up. This would then get my daughter wound up because of the confrontation aspect. Just wasn't worth the grief.

There now a chain of Cinemas called Everyman. Expensive enough to keep the riffraff out and far more civilised with nice comfy sofas.
I go to the delightful environs of The Regal, Henley on Thames, a Picturehouses cinema. Absolutely no chavscum and a pleasingly expensive large glass of Merlot to enjoy during the film.

You very occasionally get the odd loud posh tt in there but they generally STFU when shushed - probably reminded of the need to do so after lights out at boarding school.

I had the unexpected misfortune to go to Vue Reading on Friday night to see Trainspotting 2. As it was pretty much at the end of its big screen run there were only about 25 people in, but they all watched it in silence, with no mobile phone interruptions. Exactly as it should be. I was so happy I imediately left, scored a load of smack and became a lifelong junkie! smile

I figured that 'training for a pretend job' equated to 'doesn't have a job'.

There is a civic beyond the Toyota that appears to have done similar (though I suspect that is a sloped drive)

Yet when Mr Normal who's paid in for decades needs some help, they are entitled to precisely nothing, other than JSA, for which they have to attend a 1 hour interview every day Monday through Friday for two weeks to discuss and to account for each and every hour of each and every 8 hour day of job-searching, browsing, applications, interviews etc. which also has to be logged by the claimant on-line and which is in itself activity monitored or you lose the JSA. A full time hoop jumping job in itself. Meanwhile others seem to claim a range of benefits almost as a lifestyle choice and they don't seem to have to be accountable for it or even face the inconvenience of signing on confused

I claimed my 10 days worth last year - mostly as a sadomasochistic exercise. Wow have they tightened sh8t up! To be fair, the person at the JC+ was quite helpful but the minions on the phone line will make even the most hardened claimant totally depressed. And I only got the cheque a few months later - three separate letters arriving on the same day telling me that 1. my claim had stopped 2. I will be taxed on the measly sum 3. letter for my new employer [have had 2 jobs since!).
