Overheard today:

"She's had another girl!"

"Oh how lovely, what have they named her?"

"<mumble>"

"Alexia! What a lovely name!"

"No, with an E, Elexia"

"Oh"

I shudder to think what a dark uv light would show up in those rooms! wink

The race is on.
Can austinsmirk's boss get his hands on it before the whole street is full of nearly new Zafiras with 'we've been to Disneyland' stickers in the back. And once more empty bank accounts.

The blonde, what's that between her legs?

Her hands or is it landing gear down?

Italy is entirely middle class council...

How about all inclusive in the Caribbean, or Butlins on stilts in the Indian Ocean? (throw in a wedding for maximum points).

I might have inadvertently named a child to be, after a character from "inglorious barstewards" let me explain.

I have just installed a new kitchen. however, tiling the floor in polished porcelain tiles is beyond me. well, beyond me to do well on a floor that is half concrete, half timber and got more slopes in it than a black run.

So I've used one of my building lads to do the floor. Absolute star- worked for 4 days solid over the weekend. so lots of chatting as I helped here and there.

His wife is due a baby. right now.

On Sunday he announced excitedly that he has got his way with the naming of the child. Its going to be "Lando" or "lander"

"what I say- where's that from ?"

"star wars, after luke skywalker, george lucas"

"right, I don't know who the characters are" (I'm not a star wars fan- but I've a vague idea)

"you know after Mark Hamil"

"Oh- I know who you mean, the chap who played- Hans Landa"

"yes that's right, after him".

so I think we agreed, that wherever the name "lando" is from, from Star wars, its named after the character Hans Landa"

This only dawned on me some 36 hrs later.

the SS officer and Jew hunter. Colonel Hans Landa.

FFS !!

Whilst it pains me to admit it because the places and holidays were fantastic, having been to both the Dominican Republic and Jamaica on all inclusives and looking at the rest of the cattle in the plane I would have to agree with you there.

Will definitely go again though.

Having a BBQ inside your council house and denying it sounds a bit council to me;

(Who is having a BBQ outside in March in the NE of England?)
