Petition against time-wasters on eBay!

Having had yet another eBay auction go wrong due to malicious time-wasters, I have decided to try and do something about it by starting a Change.Org petition.

EBay don't seem to listen to individual complaints and so, if they are ever going to be pressed into doing something about this annoying practice, we have to band together!

Have a look at my petition below. Please sign it if you agree and please, please pass it on to as many of your friends as possible. Many thanks.

If you do sign, please post 'Signed' to keep this thread visible! Thanks

Sad that it is, you could get every person on the planet to sign your petition and ebay will do precisely fk all about it.

You'd be better off voting with your feet and not using it. If enough people do that then they'll pay attention. While the money keeps rolling in they'll do nothing.

Yeah. But that aint gonna happen, is it.

Thought you lads might be a bit more positive. Maybe I've posted in the wrong forum.

How to list something:

A.
1. Select BuyNow only (no auction).
2. Set correct BuyNow price.
3. Select "buyer must pay immediately" option.
4. Select "no returns" option.
5. Take high resolution photos.
6. Add honest descriptive text.
7. Never ship abroad (due to various scams and postal costs, plus import tax even on returned goods!)

B.
Alternatively ignore above and state "cash on collection only". Set postage costs at £1000 and click "buyer must pay immediately" option. This ensures no one ever pays up front (thus saving you ebay sale fees). The buyer has no choice but to phone you and arrange a cash on collection deal. This gets around the Ebay rules of not being allowed to say "don't bid before calling me" in your advert.

Whereas all the time-wasting wkers who your petition is aimed at will DEFINITELY think "Oooh, there's a Change petition asking me nicely not to be a div - and it's got at LEAST a couple of dozen signatures. I guess I'll stop, then."

I have had considerable success on eBay and will continue to use it. I know what works for me. But you only have to do a search on cars to see how many auctions go wrong due to 'time-wasters'. It needn't be so. If I were eBay's CEO, I'd fix it in a jiffy!

One seller's time-wasting buyer is one buyer's idiot seller with a completely and utterly-misdescribed "immaculate" shed.

If some miscreant bids and never gets in touch, that's actually a breach of contract. Nothing to do with mis-description which is entirely a different matter. But thanks for your thoughts.

There's nothing wrong with trying but ebay really don't give a fk.

I don't know how they could penalise people either.
They'd just open a new account.
