PH must have the most annoyed people in the world, constantly irritated by perceived behaviour of others, no matter how trivial. A simple misspelling, an Americanism, a driving behaviour, a choice of car, a way of dress all can make people furious it would appear.

. By searching on the word "annoy", I obtained a huge list of such threads.....

Look at the 20,000 of so responses....:

This is far from being the first of such threads, but part of an endless series.....

Cringe..
See also

"eats [insert another car here] for breakfast"

See this a lot on for sale ads but on here too. When somebody says words to the effect of "my car regularly destroys M3's" I have a serious cringe moment. Where is all this happening? I go from one year to the next without encountering this pack of M3's racing around the highways. Where is all of this competitive road racing taking place?

You do realise what the first rule about competitive road racing is... wink

I agree though sounds totally naff.

Editing one's post to make a later poster look strange.

(I blame autocorrect).

'Wealth whispers'.

Also, picture of a nice Ferrari on a gravelled driveway and in the background, half obscured is a McLaren F1 poking its nose out of the double garage. How very PH.

That was by far one of the funniest threads I've seen on pistonheads.

Have we had "Weapon" yet? Makes me cringe just writing it. "Yeah, my Subaruitshi is a weapon." Only if you intend to harm or kill someone.

I know this has been mentioned before - "Not enough power." Has been said about the Puma on here, and cars like the GT86. Like Toyota and Ford spent millions on these developing these cars and never thought about it... but some Tesco shelf-filler has the key to why these cars are just wrong.

Oh, and idiots who don't read through all the previous 21 pages of a thread to check if something has already been mentioned. biggrin

I know we've already had people mentioning people who belittle other cars by saying things like "stroen" or "Poogeot", but I saw another one recently: "Aldi" (Audi).

Only one poster uses this phrase as far as I can see. He also uses the term "junior supercars" to describe some of his own fleet.

Neither are really annoying, just tragic laugh

The new line up for Top Gear is so bad that I'm going to cry about it for months before the show airs and proclaim that I will not be watching. Swiftly followed by much whinging after watching said episode. Repeat for entire season

I have particular hatred of a statement oft used by Porsche enthusiasts:

"There is no way I'd buy that Datsun [GTR]"

Despite the GTR having nothing in common with a Datsun, but the 911 having several things in common with a Beetle (engine layout and flat cylinder arrangement).

I think the belittling and patronising that go on round here in general....

It's the school holidays so I'm going to sign up to PH for a bit of trolling.

When posters announce they have "bookmarked" a thread.

If you have contributed there is no need to bookmark.

If you have bookmarked it there is no need to contribute.

Unless of course you have something more interesting to add than "bookmarked"
