Threads entitled "Can we talk about <whatever> for a bit?"

It is exceptionally stupid and annoying, and there are several current examples as I type this.

"Rinse and Repeat."

"Talk to me."

Anyone that believes in dangerous man-made global warming/deadly city air quality, and yet still owns a car.

I was just going to post this. It's a construction that puts me in mind of some timid and mentally feeble individual who might describe themselves as "Bohemian" (read: smells of piss) but actually just lacks the ability to make a direct point.

"Wrong" or "Incorrect" or "Nope", as one word answers to a post, with no explanation as to why and no attempt to explain either.

That happens to me sometimes. I don't know how it does, but I intend to type advice and when I read back what I typed I see advise on the screen. It's quite odd. I think it must be some sort of muscle memory thing.

I lost my muscle memory when my beloved moved into the spare bedroom after the kids left home - but all is not lost, I can now fart & snore with impunity.

Repetitive dull threads like this and the people who add to them month after month with the same comments.
I often ponder if people aren't actually paid to post or start threads sometimes.

People who complain about repetitive dull threads like this and the people who add to them, but who then add to them themselves....

No mention of coffee spitting/need a new keyboard yet? It comes up every time pet hates are aired and still the offenders keep doing it..
Yes!
I don't think I've ever spat coffee from laughing at anything and I've only once or twice laughed out loud on my own in front of a computer (or otherwise). Happens with too great a frequency round here it seems
