Apart from he works for the highways agency so is the furthest from a walt you could get rolleyes
Look at all my other responses to Boss Hogg and his to me, starting with me calling him a semi pro walt. See all the smilies from both of us? It's pretty obvious I'm mucking about. He knows it. I know it. Just you that doesn't.
Settle down poppet, this whole thread is pisstaking at its finest clap
You got the wrong end of stick and looked foolish. Everyone can see it, even if you pretend otherwise.

And calling someone poppet is cringeworthy in the extreme.
You're not getting the idea of this are you?

D'you carry a box of kitty treats to assist in the search for and recovery of missing pets?

Nope, we're not allowed to interact with animals as we're not trained - you couldn't make this up! biggrin

Training in a way seems a bit Walty. It suggests that you've been honed, focused and improved in the image of improving your ability at something.

In actual fact, it's normally just "being told how to do something"

Off topic, BossHogg. What will you replace the Discos with? I take it the new D5 won't be making an appearance.

BossHogg, imagine you've come across a suspect who didn't indicate properly leaving a roundabout and you're in pursuit. You make the proper attempts to signal to the suspect to pull over but he doesn't. If he crosses the border into Wales or Scotland, do you just have to give up?

Hello Alan_I_W
I don't know who that is.

As for our little crossing of paths, you called me out because you thought I had wronged BossHogg. You were mistaken. Instead of accepting a parrott you tried to suggest it was banter etc, making yourself look more foolish.

I'm not going to derail the thread any longer, as I have no wish to argue about something I care so little about. You are very welcome to have the last word, and I'm sure you seize the opportunity to do so. I will not respond as I have no wish further interaction with you.

Too many cylinders!
A good effort but no use of the words:
Incident
Response
...and, crucially.....
EMERGENCY

Can't see a Hi-Lift jack either.

Nothing whatsoever, we don't do enforcement or pursuits, any incidents we attend is within the speed limit as we don't have the authority to exceed them. wink

We've been trialling the BMW X5 and VW Touareg. I don't know if any will make it into service, I've also heard whispers about the new Defender. We'll have to wait and see. wink

All done within the law, all our vehicles have the rear suspension adapted during conversion to make sure it remains legal with all the kit we carry. wink

I'm the furthest from a Walt you can get, I served 7 years in the regular army!!! laugh
Mind you, the biggest walts I've met over the years have mostly been ex military. During my school days in the 80s I must have met everyone who was at Goose Green, hundreds of West London balcony specialists and who knew we had 100 times more Harrier pilots than we had Harriers!. Yet never met a squaddie who claims they just spent 5 years collecting genital warts on the reeperbahn. biggrin

The Tiguan has proved a runaway success with another organisation so the VW might be a safe bet.
