How best to screw over business who ripped off my Mum
Discussion
I sort of know a MILLION ways to do this.
But just for my own research purposes, let's assume that a builder has ripped off my 78 year old Mum and then threatened her when I issue proceedings.
How best to annihilate them.
All legal suggestions welcome. I've already called the VAT man and the Inland Revenue to report their cash deals.

Just to clarify - you want to pursue them legally or some other way?
I've already got a court date lined up. I am thinking about more serving them a cold sh 1t sandwich.................... in addition to the HMRC and VAT investigations they'll shortly be on the end of.How much money are we talking about?
Not a great situation for sure but sometimes it can be better just to put these things down to experience and walk away. Do not underestimate the stress that a court case can bring + the intimidation to your Mum whether it be inferred or physical threats. Probably not the best way to enjoy your retirement.

Id hold off on any childish pranks during the court business, if it came to light that you were hammering sausages into the other guys lawn at night the judge might not look all that favorably on you (rightly so imho)Gargamel said:

Maybe add 20% off for repeat custom (alienate his existing client base)
Maybe find his favourite drinking hole and flyer this with crimewatch mock-ups
Clone his plates on the works van so it comes to the attention of the authorities
Get his bank account frozen
**Hypothetically of course as this would cause distress to an individual and possibly break a few laws.
You know his address I assume?
I may or may not have put an ad in local gumtree and freecycle saying "*FREE* house clearance - All must go"
I am clearning out my parents old house this weekend, all most go, washing machine, TV, lawnmower, furniture etc, all free, just need it gone, all in good working order and lot of it almost new.
I will be at XX Soandso Street, This Town, Postcode, all weekend, just turn up and see what I have left, and take it away there and then!
See you soon
