Anyone who says they posted a gumtree ad talks st.

You have to verify the mobile number used.

I don't know why so many people lie.

Any ideas for a photographer who didn't deliver our wedding photos?

Planning to take him to court. Just gathering all my evidence but would love to cause some damage before any potential court hearings!

Some of those other ideas sound really funny!!
£500 to a Romanian Hacker and you can have him royally fked over (on numerous and creative levels) and potentially mess his life up for years.

Let the law take its due course then move on.

I think you're a bit of an idiot thinking about getting revenge , mess him about and he'll sharp work out the connection , but the connection will be with your mother not you , so expect similar back your mothers way.

No winners playing this game.mind.

Set up a hidden camera & get your mum to ask him round to discuss the matter. Hopefully he will act like a powerfully built company director with a goatee & hey presto, you have him!

Just to clarify - you want to pursue them legally or some other way?
I've already got a court date lined up. I am thinking about more serving them a cold sh 1t sandwich....................
wait until after then

then just rinse them round every enforcement agency going - remember they eventually jailed Al Capone for tax irregularities

HMRC for tax and VAT,
HMRC for running road vehicles on red ,
DWP / Border force for illegals,
DWP for benefit traudsters ,
trading standards obviously,
Environmental health for pollution , noise ...
Environmental Health / waste services at the LA if there is evidence (even scant) of misuse of waste streams or unliceneced waste carrying
DVSA (VOSA) for the vehicles ...

stay above board and at arms length and anything they do in repirsal becomes even worse

i presume the local media will be informed of the up coming court case ...

Bird seed has it's uses...
utterly brilliant typical PH powerfully built keyboard warrior bks - stuff likely to end up with the hava a go hero in criminal court

much better to tie people up in red tape - it's totally legit, and at arm's length ...

Indeed. Further risk to mum.

Not to mention the Bar Standards Board potentially taking a dim view of potentially criminal behaviour if it was identified as the OP...

If you must do something, then better to wait for a period of time so that it cannot be connected back easily.

Set up rival local firm

Undercut him by 5%. After say 10 to 15 years his business will be really small. He will be desperate and will sell his business to you and go PAYE in your firm.

Then make him redundant.
Or worse, just give him slightly less than inflation pay rises. Really drag it out over one or two generations as you whittle away his financial legacy.

I can assure you it never used to do this, so perhaps they are not lying, just a while ago (as per my gumtree "tale")

Havnt used it for years now, so didnt know it had changed

FTFY

Tie 2 dogs to a post near his house and wait for the gypsys to beat him up, shag his wife, steal his car, bomb his house or whatever it is they're alleged to do when using this trick.

if you have enough friends up for it: get them to invite him round to do extensive quotations for large building works on their homes.

it'll take hours of his time up, all to come to nothing for him.

its also the only legal suggestion so far on here.

But it would personally mess him up.

I dare say that anyone who would willingly rip off a pensioner would be equally happy to treat their suppliers with as much disdain.

I'm sure a letter to each private building supplier within a few miles radius highlighting the situation wouldn't do him any favours.

Then tweeting / Facebooking B&Q, Wickes, Homebase, Selco, Screwfix etc. with the same message.

As has been said, RatedPeople, Find-a-trade, MyBuilder with the appropriate negative feedback.

Then step it up to the TV, Cowboy Builders, Watchdog & the like.

You know what to do Soov.
