Sending postcards from your holiday. Used to be a running joke that you would be home before they arrive. you certainly will now as who bothers.
I still do this with my oldest mate (known each other for over 30 years) goes back to when we both were still living with our respective parents, we would try and find the smuttiest one in the hope of embarrassing each other, when said parents got the post.

Cow tipping.

Pepe jeans with the plastic keyring things, also similar keyring things in luminous colours with extendable coiled plastic, similar to the phone lead on an old phone.

Footy stickers/cards

I thought these had gone ages ago, and I fondly remember swapping spare shiny cards for a handful of normal ones. But no, they're still going. Stickers are smaller, but still there and 50 p a pack too. I think double the price of when I was getting them.

Funny thing now is I really dont like football and even then I don't think I gave much of a toss about following it other than to complete some kind of collection!

Yoyos with gearing in them to do tricks.

Pogs & tazos, gogos, trolls, corinthians. Loads more kids stuff - they all go in cycles (Thunderbirds is back on, so is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

I think the best one that never goes out is footy stickers. Genius business model - kids grow up and another load of kids take their place collecting them with teams and players changing every year. It'll never end. smile

I remember when people wore chains on their jeans a lot as a youth. People (even guys) also had this thing of dying bits of their hair, like odd strips - blonde, red, purple. Youngsters nowadays seem to copy "one direction" type hair or Justin Bieber stuff (long slick on top, shaved on sides).

I'm hoping the hipster beard thing will die. Some blokes suit beards, but if you're wearing very tight jeans and a lumberjack shirt then no.

So soooo glad that stty crazy frog ring tone thing has gone. I had to switch over if I heard it - was driving me mental!

Loom bands, couple of years ago they were everywhere.

These were a late '80s flash in the pan.

I never saw one of those, but we did have "Russel Spinners", these yoyos usually had some fizzy pop branding on them.

They were a Coca Cola promotion when I was in middle school; mid 80's, the yoyo craze around then was huge, everyone had a Coke product branded yoyo.
