Power balance wrist bands...
My old gaffer had a sideline selling these. I asked him if they worked and he claimed they will improve your efficiency by 10-15%.I then asked him why he's not given them to his staff for free as they would suddenly become 10-15% more efficient in the business if the bands actually did anything.
I didn't get an answer!

Some odd selections on here for what constitutes a "craze" - Ripspeed were going in 1973 (Keith Ripp was a well-known Mini racer) and Peco exhausts were around in the '60s. Boy-racers is nothing new I can assure you.
I think he means the "Ripspeed" concession in Halfords, rather than the whole company, it was all about horrendous alloys with ditchfinders, "Zorsts", DVD Head units with flip out screens and Bass Cannons/tubes etc, kind of coincided with the Max Power generation.I was reading some seventies "Hot Car" magazines and they had adverts in there for Ripspeed, all "Deluxe" centre consoles, zoomie pipes, bucket seats and jack up kits for Cortinas, so Max Power boys dad.
