It's gone again.

After a few years of a love hate relationship I had a good offer and it's gone again.

It's a great bike, but hindered by my lack of enthusiasm to ride. Too scared to take it out and make it dirty or drop it, it's lived in the garage for pretty much a year again.

So off she goes to a new member who I sure will look after it. I won't be buying it back again this time hehe

No plans to buy anything else at the minute.

You could say I gave up riding last June truth me told. It was the last time I used it properly.

180mph sportsbike need properly using to make them fun. Ideally this means you and a group of mates on the same sort of bikes taking them to Wales / Scotland / South of France or eventually gravitate to tracking them round Jerez / Mugello / Portimao.

Just tootling around the crowded roads of the South East once in a while is never going to get it in it's sweet enjoyable spot and it's always going to end up as a garage ornament.

You could try popping into some dealers and organising some test rides of different types of bikes and see if you find any that are fun to ride at normal speeds. Some people I know just do a few test rides a year and that's enough for them - balls to owning anything! Trouble is the Supersports stuff looks so good and anything else seems a step down.

Massively enjoying my new Yamaha Tracer (out on it every opportunity) and redundant R1 sat unused in the garage.

Agreed smile

A mate who can't get out much due to family time, etc. has just swapped his sports bike for a used Ducati Monster .EVO 1100 ... He is smitten with it and makes more sense for him as its a bike that is happy toodling along.
