But, when you have multi millions, it isnt really good enough to have decent, expensive stuff, so there is a market for sprinkling, normal everyday items with jewels, rare metals and bits of animals to make it extra special,
Reminds me of the phones you can buy for GBP 15,000. Does everything every other mobile phone does, needs charging all the time, loses signal regularly but its got a white gold case. Must have weighed a ton, which is probably why was on the table when it got stolen. http://www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/wonder-room/ac...
Seems to be old Nokias and Android phones in fancy cases, quite an achievement convincing people to part with ten grand plus for a phone that is actually worse than anything you can buy for £800 or less.
And "That's pretty Cute", really ?

That makes no sense at all. There's a variety of reasons someone might want stuff beyond basic needs that isn't stupid and a variety of reasons that are stupid.
How much isn't stupid then? What I'm trying to say is that beyond the basics, we all make a choice how to spend money (if we have any)
I like nice cars, watches and clothes. The price I'd pay for a watch would be stupid for most, it just tells the time. Why even have a watch, your phone tells the time. why even have a phone, just turn on the radio or ask someone.
I begrudge paying 5p for a carrier bag, my girlfriend would happily pay £2,500 for a bag.

The video at the end of the article is horrific! I didn't watch it all, and I guess its a good thing they showed part of the reality of making these trinkets!
Quite atrocious that people can even consider buying them after seeing that.I have always admired crocodile/alligator skin and was seriously considering a pair of crocodile/alligator shoes before learning of the processes some companies use to obtain this leather.
I cannot tell you how pleased I am that I discovered this before ordering a pair and sentencing a creature to such needless torture for my own vanity!
Hermes are one of the worst culprits as they want the most perfect hides and seem to care little as to how this perfection is achieved.

Think he still has the service but its a lot more per year now. Also uses it for different things now he has a family, the business has expanded a lot too.
Bit too rich for my tastes, wouldn't use it enough to get the benefits it could offer.
