They don't need to be fitted, just fit...

This is properly funny now. That last two buffoons : : rofl: one looks like a low rent Lettings agent who can't stop posing like a 13 year old girl and the other a ridiculous inbred who's dressing for a country fayre where he'll
Probably marry his sister who's also his Aunty. Utterly ridiculous that they're posting on here.

Fair play on the genuine criticism, that I don't mind at all. No need to be a CU Next Tuesday though ^^^

What's the general PH concsensus on silk scarves?

My wife got me a rather dandy Hermes one for Christmas and I have to say I adore it, it's similar to the one in the picture, grey and a kind of steely blue. Looks great with a grey overcoat. smile
Depends on how you wear it. Are you wearing it like a cravat or a 'normal' scarf? It may look good, it may look try hard, depends on your persona (and the rest of your outfit).

I didn't realise my suits were that shiny.

Incidentally, couldn't find the post where you showed us any of your clothes...?

Making an effort out of work-wear. (I actually wear a white t-shirt and dark jacket a lot. To me it's a really easy way to look good without looking like you've tried too hard, but feel free to correct me there!)

Lose the bum fluff beard, It makes you look like you've got an invertible head.

As per my earlier comments regarding other people's photos.
Selfies just can't replace a photographer. Angles are all wrong and often make the subject look quite odd or out of proportion.
Ahh yes, and get onto polishing those shoes!! smile

It was rather. Best ignored as not worth the effort of reading.

This may be something of a generational thing, but I don't think it does you any favours either.
Of course, there is no way in Hell I am ever going to post photos showing what I looked like in my youth.
Gads, what tts we were hehe

Following the link provided, and having a closer look at the photo presented here, That is showing a scarf under a coat, rather than under a shirt or jacket.

For my own part, I think a silk scarf can look quite stylish, and really suits some men/outfits.
Though I tend to stick with wool/cashmere depending on occasion/weather/coat.
I do have a white silk scarf for formal evening wear.

This might be the most PH picture/outfit yet.

So does anybody own any really, really bad or tacky items if clothing they bought, then got home and realised how bad they were? I've got a jacket that's a delight.

I'll post a picture later.
Oh God yes. I have a beautiful Hugo Boss leather jacket that was about £1000 that was just far too boy bandy and ultimately the leather looked like it had been taken from an old Jag.

A pair of yellow/gold limited edition Air Jordan's only ever sold in one LA store. I wore them a few times in London but I soon discovered that there was a whole world of mentalist out there that these rare trainers gave a raging boner to. Every time I wore the shoes I had some chap wanting to photograph them or buy them. The final straw was when a chap attempted to facilitate a transaction using a knife.

I have a lovely Gieves leather trench coat that was nearly £1,500 that transpired to make me look like a Nazi. Which given that I live in a very Jewish and gay part of town has made for some strange social interactions. I still wear it but make a point of never loitering in corners or raising my right arm when I do so.

Various lesser items over the years like shirts and trousers. Generally, on trend items don't suit me and really never have. I'm just not an 'on trend' kind of chap.

I have a pair of trousers that I must have been on acid when I bought them but they are monumentally hilarious and the most farcical things ever sold. If I stumble over them, as they are around somewhere, then I'll post a picture as they are unbelievable.
Clearly I need to keep an eye out for you. There is a wide range of eccentric dressers in the area though.

It is important to note that while I have discussed my fine articles of clothing in this thread, I have never said I was a well dressed gentleman. biggrin.

With the exception of the golden Afro-Carribean rare footwear and the National Socialist overcoat I generally blend in. smile. And as you say, that still gives a lot of leeway around here to look a right fiasco.
