Why are fans so ugly?
Discussion
As the weather is quite hot and humid, I want a fan for the bedroom that can stand in the corner and circulate the air around. I used to have one on the bedside table but found having the air blowing at me all night gave me a sore throat.
Not wanting to spend £200+ on the nice looking Dyson, I want something for less than about £60 which doesn't look like it's come from an 80's office!
Any ideas?

I picked one of these up at the weekend from Homebase for £25.

Not sure if you'll class it as ugly though? Looks pretty good in the living room and does recirculate air around quite well

I have one of these sat at the far end of the bedroom:

Doesn't look too retro but the big plus for me is that it is remote controlled so I can lie in bed and switch on/off, fan speed, oscillation etc without having to get up. God I'm lazy

sorry everyone. Disappointing thread title did lead to more of a response than I was expecting and at least gave me some ideas.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Honeywell-HO-1100RE-Oscil...

Needs to be taller than the first suggestion but this could work and not getting out of bed is obviously a bonus!!
It's a bit noisy but works well otherwise!

I believe you can get a taller version with a stand.
