That's not entirely true now is it? An entire generation of Lions suffered indigestion as result of you guys.

Happy to justify the Crusades then?

The founder of the Austin Allegro Owners Club is Reverend Colin Corke. I'm not sure what this proves.

Very poor judgement.

Be fair, that bit when we were allowed to burn witches was a riot.

I am an atheist but with a view that many of the stories in the bible are good moral codes, if that makes sense?
Well of course they are (good moral codes I mean). This is precisely why religion was invented - as a way of controlling and guiding the masses before effective laws and policing (such as they are effective).

It was (and still is to some extent) Santa Claus for grown ups - be good and you'll get your reward. Only rather than children behaving so they got their presents, its adults behaving so they get 'eternal life', 'paradise', etc.

Unfortunately, as soon as you create control of people you get abuse of that control...

Jehovas Witnesses are not allowed sports cars. Cars should be suitable for transporting other JWs to events and to areas for knocking on doors.
Yeah that's not actually true.
Okay. They can't play chess then.....is that one true?
Nope, used to play with my dad, so not sure where that one is from.

Jehovah's witnesses are encouraged to live within there means, and not to pursue a lifestyle that would be a distraction from being one. So they can choose to own whatever they can afford weather a smart car or a Porsche.
They are not allowed to do oil changes though.
I am choosing to believe that one is very much tongue in cheek smile

It's common sense.

They were good things to do before they were written down.

I think that is all well and good and I hope the topic doesn't descend into bickering and abuse. Good luck with that.

When you say things like: "Must be something in it do you not think?"
You can expect people to say "no", and more.
Exactly, you can't throw out a question like that and then get upset if you get a reply you don't like.

I have no problem at all with people who express a Christian faith explaining why they do so. On the other hand, if you are going to try and start debates and discussions about whether it's all true or not, expect a load of incoming and put on your hard hat.

A proper Christian, one who was actually worried about impressing St Peter, would not have a sports car budget as he would have done something good with it instead.

Almost no self-professed Christians worry about St Peter - you can tell by the money they waste on themselves.

Joshua's Triumph was heard in the hills.

Shurely the car answer though is a JDM Honda - allegedly the disciples were all of one Accord.

We are all atheists; some of us just go one god further. So said Richard Dawkins.

I find Christopher Hitchins truly inspirational when it comes to debating religion. A great knowledge of religion used to fight against religion. Never knew the chap but I'm genuinely sad he's no longer with us.
