What about the (Holy) Spirit Honda F1 car -

That looks like one of the student cars they knock up in D&T lessons.

This is Slightly obscure and I know some people may wish hate on me, but oh well.
I was wondering out of all the population of PH are there any Christians who are both follows of Christ and lovers of cars?? I work for a church in London but Christians who are seriously into cars are a rare find. If you are the above please post, maybe we could arrange a meet
Why can't you meet people who are Muslim or atheists and chat about cars?
This was my first thought too.

What has religion got to with meeting like minded car nuts?

Indeed... stop chatting here and go talk to some other faiths. Sort out your issues with them, and when you've sorted your differences (and killing each other), feel free to pop back.

Perhaps the Bible should be updated to include cars. That might get some interest started.

And they gave him an Astra to enter Bethlehem

There was no room at the motel so they had to doss in the multistorey

He was commanded to jack up his Discovery, wear a hi vis vest, place battenberg stickers on the vehicle and get emergency lights on roof the roof to save the cars from the great flood

It blew up a lot, from what I remember.

Another atheist here.
However, my brother was a missionary, my wife is a Sunday school teacher. Her sister was a missionary, and all her family are church-goers.
I know what a black sheep feels like! biggrin
I did review my last sentence before I hit the submit button, but I, mistakenly, reasoned that, given the topic, everyone would display due deference. Ha!

Anyway, I always state that Christians are atheists, too - it's just that I believe in one fewer god than they do. thumbup

Does the God Squad drive Citroën DSes or is that deeply sinful?
I thought God drove Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden in a Fury. Not sure if it was a Plymouth or a Fisher, though.

I'm a Christian here (although I was an atheist when I joined PH) but I don't have a lot of time for the higher levels of the church in which greed and hypocrisy is no doubt rife. I wouldn't try to force my beliefs on anyone else, because I don't know for certain that they're correct, and as such I don't appreciate it when atheists insist that anyone religious is a moron. Of course, I believe in science as well - it can co-exist with all but the most literal interpretations of the Bible.

If there's one thing we can all thank Christianity for, there have been some smashing songs written in its name.

Are there any devil worshippers on PH?

I'd like to talk about Beelzebub and Vauxhalls.

I have a lot of sympathy with the OP for how this thread has turned out and shame on the rest of you, it would be be considerably better if you learned about the ancient tribes, especially those of you who like to ride Moabites.

I find Christopher Hitchins truly inspirational when it comes to debating religion. A great knowledge of religion used to fight against religion. Never knew the chap but I'm genuinely sad he's no longer with us.
He's not the force he was sadly http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/culture...

I'm not sure who has stepped up to the mark as a successor though, his brutally elegant prose is sadly missed.

Christians are two a penny by contrast

Jehovah's witnesses are encouraged to live within there means, and not to pursue a lifestyle that would be a distraction from being one. So they can choose to own whatever they can afford weather a smart car or a Porsche.
They are not allowed to do oil changes though.
