1 series footwell swimming pool help

My sons 06 plate 118D SE passenger footwell has just started filling up with water whenever it rains. Is this a common problem and what is the fix. Blocked drain tubes somewhere? TIA. Jes

If the one is anything like the 3 series then there will be drain holes either side of the scuttle panel at the back of the engine bay. Check to make sure that the covers under the bonnet are in-place and secure.

Does your son park his car on a slope or level ground?
Have you looked up under the dash to see if the damp extends up under there or is it coming in through or around the door?

Another thing it could be is the door profile gasket that sits behind the door panels, u can normally see water stains running down the bottom edge of the inner door panel.

thanks for the links. tested it with a hose and the water was coming through the door panel. pulled it off resealed it and all sorted. much appreciated chaps.
