It was quite obvious what he was saying, you must just be the standard PH wker which comes along to say something stupid and suggest he's under the thumb.

Thanks for your input though, let's just tell the OP being in a relationship is fantastic then shall we...

A big advantage OP is time. Enjoy time to do whatever you want to do, whenever you want to do it, and being a contractor can really help take you t different places and experience different things to keep your mind occupied. Good luck with the Aus job!
You appear to be getting mixed up
I didn't ask what anyone was saying. I also didn't ask you if you liked the quality of my input. I was merely question a perceived advantage vs a relationship. Not important though, OP can really enjoy life(lots of great looking ladies in aus)and live every minute of it.

Why not do the usual thing people do after a long term relationships? Lose weight, new haircut, new clothes and start going out on the sniff with your mates, shag a few fat slags, get bored and then come back here for some more advice?

Spoken with a director here and he knows the chief operating officer in our Sydney office.

They have a perm role for the job I do here, in Sydney. He said he would be more than happy to put forward a recommendation and speak to him if I was interested.

CV sent.
Good luck. You'll fit in well with the Aussies

Better to regret what you have done than what you haven't, as they say.

Go for it. Very best of luck.

What would you do?
firstly, work out whether it s properly 100% over, no going back. if you're contemplating such radical lifestyle changes you don't want a foot in both camps. i left the uk when my relationship was going through an on/off patch and it only caused grief for the two of us.

next, work out what the reason has been for 'plodding' through life. then address it!

i left uk at 30 and whilst it hasn't been plain sailing the experience has been truly life changing. get the right job/location and you're dancing.

once in new [or temporary] location, get on tinder and enjoy the rewards of being a dating novelty wink
