Why so much referendum decision remorse?
Discussion
Maybe it's just the news coverage, but I'm staggered there so many people saying they voted leave "but are now not sure if they made the right decision" or are "surprised it actually happened and now feel nervous".
Seriously, did the people of this country not understand what they were voting for?

I'm not convinced it is anything more than a good news story. Probably after any close election or referendum result, there are people who voted for the winning side and later wonder if they voted the right way. If you're right on the fence, by definition you will be unsure afterwards, whichever way you vote.
Brexit = fast burn but better future
Remain = slow burn and worse future
It's easy to make a news story about a shock in the markets, make everyone feel scared then interview a few people who're panicking.
If we remained, it would've been 5 years of no change to the EU and lots of grumbling about how this wasn't what was voted for as surprise surprise there was no plan for a remain vote and what anyone wanted to change from the EU.

I voted out, knowing that there would be a period of market volatility. I would still vote out, and will continue voting out until I die (if the undemocratic tts who want to steal my franchise get their way).
What power do you have?
Who gave it to you?
For whom do you exercise it?
To whom are you accountable?
How do I get rid of you?
Ask that of Juncker and tell me you can get a satisfactory answer.

Evidence to this lack of democracy will become apparent as a growing grumble becomes a loud roar for Juncker to quit - every day he doesn't demonstrates why you need to be able to answer question 5 above! What power do you have?

I don't know how she kept a straight face through that. As legitimate as any other suggestion I've seen of leavers with remorse.Matt UK said:

This is an orchestrated campaign to destabilise the referendum result.Seriously, did the people of this country not understand what they were voting for?
Votes can be traced. I bet that if we do a little investigation, we will discover that they are lying through their teeth.
The whole Remain campaign has been built on lies.
I haven't found it to be the case in 'real life' within my day to day life. I work in Canary Wharf and in my office there has been balanced debate with both sides agreeing it will work out in the end i.e. the longer term with short to mid-term pain. It was a hot topic on Friday, and on Monday given the leadership pause over the weekend, but it's now BAU. It's obvious from what I've seen online there are a vocal few who can't hold their nerve; we're only a few days post vote results!
The one thing that has depressed me about the whole thing is the behaviour of people following the result; I don’t think anyone expected this to be so decisive and to drive such vitriol between people. That’s certainly what’s disappointed me the most, but in the long term these issues will drive improvements in areas of culture and society we never really considered.
All in all absolutely no regrets here. We have a better future ahead of us.
