Didn't you say that you were just going to bin it before? £45 seems quite a good deal for something you were happy to get rid off for nothing.
Yes, I guess that's one way of looking at it. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't hold out for more if I can get it....no?May get back and see if he'd accept £57 + £3 postage....
I'd guess if his opening gambit was £45 you'd probably get £60.
Let's hope the H140 sells now!! Glad I stumbled upon this thread, for some reason I wouldn't have thought to flog them on eBay!

He wouldn't go higher than £50 inc postage so sold it for that. Have now listed the H140 as a separate item and have stated that it includes the remote plus the charger. Kind of works well he didn't mind getting it without a charger to be honest.....a new charger is over £5 so in reality.....not too bad for something I literally haven't used for a few years. Charged it up and checked it works and all is well.

Good to hear. You can always flog old stuff on ebay, I've taken the hard discs out of old laptops (for security) and sold the laptop on eBay for decent money.Let's hope the H140 sells now!! Glad I stumbled upon this thread, for some reason I wouldn't have thought to flog them on eBay!

I've got a Musical Fidelity B1 amp locked in a drawer somewhere. Not been used in 15+ years. Should sell it really, as I gather they fetch good money:
I've got one of those in the loft, it was my main Hi-Fi until 18 years ago when I moved in with the Mrs and there was no room for a 'proper' Hi-Fi, although the turntable had packed in by then anyway so I just got by using the PC for everything.I've no Idea if it still works, the volume pot is probably noisy as hell and some of the caps may have dried up by now, but I'll hang on to it, because I hang on to everything.
Other things I have hung onto:
Bag of Mobile Phones
a ZX81 and 4 Spectrums and associated games, a SNES
Film cameras, Olympus OM40, XA2, Mju2
A casio FX-7000 graphing calculator
Things I have tossed (in the skip, not sold) because they took up too much space, and might regret a bit
every printer I've ever owned
most of the PC's I've ever owned
An Amiga 1500
A boxed Sinclair QL
Aforementioned Rebel turntable probably could have been fixed, but I did save the arm.
Went through my parents loft today and found these
After figuring out how to turn my tv back to analogue they worked first time, and after a quick clean with rubbing alcohol every game did as well
Also found this, with what I think was the world's first touchscreen console (and one that is only visible if you're sitting on the surface of the sun
and a Game Boy printer, but no power cable so couldn't test it

Won't really get much use out of them though, so ebay beckonsAfter figuring out how to turn my tv back to analogue they worked first time, and after a quick clean with rubbing alcohol every game did as well

So I think this is in the spirit of the thread. Picked up a new (to me) 2007 E93 335i on Friday and in the glovebox it has a 30 pin old-style iphone connector so I dig out my old iPhone4 which we've been using to provide music in my wife's Kuga, hook it up and....it doesn't work.
Gah. There's nothing that takes the edge of that new car feeling than the option that no longer works, right?
Hmm, a bit of googling and there's a suggestion (albeit subject to the usual internet bickering) that the glovebox Apple cable only works with iPods and not with contemporary iPhones.
Just at the point I'm thinking of hitting eBay my wife reminds me that at one point we both had iPod nanos. Where could they be? Deep, and I mean deep, in a drawer, behind the instructions to a long-ago departed boiler and to a DIY home alarm that had never worked in our occupancy of this house we found these:
A whopping 2 GB in the centre and an, at the time, simply incomprehensible 4GB on the right. Can't remember the last time they were used but on plugging both in I got the Apple symbol followed by a little BMW one. And, well fk me, they work: I have music. The radio seems to think they're some sort of CD multi-disc system but that has a sort of charm to it.
Turns out my digital music collection/car playlist has hardly changed at all in over 5 years....
iPhone4 back into the Kuga and the 4GB nano being given a good charge before being pressed into service.
Also found these while I was at it:
So at least it'll be warm on those cold winter nights.
Never, ever, throw stuff away chaps... Not sure what I'll do with the original nano though. For now it's happily ensconced in my man-drawer along with a tens machine and a copy of the Daily Telegraph my aunt bought on the day I was born, obviously.

Be wary with the 1st gen ipod nano especially if you are leaving it plugged in all the time in the car. Apple identified a problem where they can overheat and pose a safety risk.
They issued a recall and will replace it for a new one for you - https://www.apple.com/support/ipodnano_replacement...

I've got a boxed Nintendo 64 with boxed Goldeneye. I'm never going to use it again so I should see if I can sell it really.
Because the games were cartridges no one ever seemed to keep the boxes.
I've got an N64 in the loft somewhere, the only remaining game I have is Zelda Ocarina of Time....one of my favourite games of all time, if not my actual favourite!Because the games were cartridges no one ever seemed to keep the boxes.

I think I owe you a virtual beer. The 1st gen one appears to be a bit fooked anyway so I've just filled in my details and they say they'll send me a box for me to provide the old one and then they'll send me a replacement. We'll see if it actually has to be working (albeit it worked well in my car) for them to send a replacement. They issued a recall and will replace it for a new one for you - https://www.apple.com/support/ipodnano_replacement...

IIRC that startac is worth money as it is not a standard startac. As it says Jaguar on it that suggests that it will talk to that era Jag Xj's in car handsfree systems as it has a different firmware to a standard startacCould be wrong but it does look like it is a Jag specific one. May be worth looking into as i know when i looked into trying to get one they were all over 150quid
