I picked my new one up in March. It's the only car I've ever considered without a manual gerarbox.
I agree, it's no looker but the package more than makes up for that. It's never in the wrong gear and changes better and faster than I ever could. I suppose if my commute involved driving over a mountain pass then I'd have picked the manual but it's all dual carriageway A raods :-(

I love mine as well.. great car which is quite under rated because a curly haired ex top gear presenter tit almost ended himself on a soaking wet runway, with mss tyres and no stability control at 120 mph... WTF did he think was going to happen!! LOL!!
overall, if you manage to ignore his gibberish and the blind people who form their opinions off the back of his 'facts' and speak to people who own or drive them, then I don't think you'll find many complaints.. i love my MG M135i LCI F20 - perfect everyday car for me!

......it may be sublime just wished it looked even a little just a teensy weensy bit subliime.
It does...subjectively I do miss mine in many ways, but in other ways not so much.
The only thing I would say is that IME, fitting M4 lower control arms transforms the car, what with 2 deg of neg camber.

It does...subjectively I think the lci is a much better looking car than the early model and to be honest is more interesting looks wise than most of the other hot hatches out there.
It is maybe a bit understated for some people, but I'm a bit past having a car that looks like it ram raided halfords...

I would hope any car I drove didn't spin out at 120mph when travelling in a straight line!overall, if you manage to ignore his gibberish and the blind people who form their opinions off the back of his 'facts' and speak to people who own or drive them, then I don't think you'll find many complaints.. i love my MG M135i LCI F20 - perfect everyday car for me!
I bought mine in January 2016 and sold it in May!
It sounded OK and was v fast but I never looked forward to driving it.
Someone on here once summarised the car as having an average chassis with an incredible drivetrain - I think this sums up v well.
Did anyone on here pick mine up from Birds? HY63NYF

It's the ugly duckling of the BMW range by an absolute mile(appreciate BMW's aren't renowned for their looks though anyway), as a package though I am sure that it's the business and I will always appreciate the big engine/small car combo and in that sense it really appeals to me.
Ugly duckling? I thought my 325ti Compact was the ugliest duckling by a country mile - how do these 1 Series usurp my ugly duck status? Mind you they are sh*tloads quicker - maybe I need to get one........! Whilst my M135i's DSC unit is being replaced under warranty I've been driving a 320d M-Sport xDrive and it's reminded me of how playful the M135i can be and just how dull run of the mill BMWs have become. On a B-road the 1 series seems to give much more choices as to road position too since it's that much narrower.

I fancy something a little smaller and a little lighter because large and boaty isn't cutting it for me currently, the 6 series is like throwing around an ocean liner and the 3 series is better but it still weighs far too much to be any fun.

In my completely unbiased opinion, it's probably worth looking at 125i Coupes as well. Bit more than the 325ti, but has that oh-so-lovely N52 up front from the 330i, and a quick remap gets them kicking out similar power too. I'm finding it much less boaty than my old E46. Sadly it mostly does commuting miles at the moment, but I can tell you it's absolutely superb on the sweeping bends at the top of the M5
