Nothing as quick as that list OP.

Fastest for me that I've driven hard is a SLS AMG, sounded more like an angry Lion when on full power in the SLS rather than a scalded cat.

Supercharged CSL was about the quickest thing I've been in. Although that E55 taxi does now spring to mind too... wink

My mate's R33 GTR with 630 BHP
My old B5 RS4
Pulsar GTI-R
FD RX-7
TVR Tuscan S
Gallardo

I think those are probably the fastest cars I've been in.

I guess it's partly what your used to. When I went from an MG ZT 160 to an Impreza Type-R, that seemed like a big step up.

My Boxster is reasonably quick for its age.

I had a passenger ride in an Atom 300 like you, "470 M" I think it was. That was pretty rapid.

991 Turbo S was pretty mental fast, also driven a Mc 570 S and 458 which were quick. Avantador around Goodwood was just insane and the thought of driving one on the road is pretty scary. However, went to see Drag racing for the first time last weekend and anything that ran below 10 Seconds just seemed to be pulled down the track by a piece of rope attached to a passing jet, insane acceleration.

Thinking about it, I'm not sure I've been in anything that's overly impressive.

Been in your usual Jap turbo stuff but nothing running more than 300bhp really.

I guess my own CLS63 is the quickest car I've been in really.

Fastest (to 60 and probably 100 but I didn't get there) I've driven was recently a Tesla Model S P90D in Ludicrous Mode - put my old 997 Turbo to shame - just bonkerzly quick

A Ruf 993 (CTR2?), I was a passenger and it was to 16 year old me, mind bendingly fast! Nothing I have been in since has felt faster, although on paper some have been they just don't feel like it!

Of cars i've owned it was probably the 997 Turbo S. Not only was it really quick, but it really felt it as the launch was pretty brutal. I've since been in the newer 991 Turbo S and is not nearly as dramatic, so actually feels slower.

Many moons ago i test drove a Tuscan S and that left me terrified as i almost lost it in a straight line simply doing a full bore gearchange 2nd to 3rd (in the dry)!

I currently drive a new Audi RS6 Performance. It is very entertaining with 600bhp and 4WD, but over 2 tons to contain. It takes a second for it to initally deal with inertia and momentum. My best comparison is when you have a very excited dog on the lead that's spotted a cat or fox and it's pulling you down the road!

My old Corsa SRi 1.8.

Never failed to surprise me. Ferocious acceleration, bags of torque.

That was in my boy racer days, now I get honked and flashed for observing speed limits.

How times change, but fond memories of 'Kevin'.

GT-R - Once at Millbrook flat out down the mile straight and then another time on the roads. The acceleration is just bonkers. (Driving)
Mitsubishi WRC car - Absolutely bonkers nuts in every way (Passenger)
Ferrari 430 challenge - Did a couple of laps at Drift Limits near Hemel, even in 3rd gear it's clear the thing is an animal. (Driving)
