I'm sure this has been posted before, but it still amazes me, the fraudulence of it !

Wonder if the Audi he's selling has a book full of his own stamps?

Cretinous.

You have been able to buy stamps of any design for years and genuine service books - equally you can print your own receipts.

I always call the servicing garages if I have any doubt.

Stamps mean nothing. I always phone the dealers to run the background on a car that's worth any sort of money.

I took the F-I-L car shopping. One car we looked at had several different owners, but had the exact same stamp and signature for 11 years' servicing, even though the MOTs had been done in every corner of the land over that time.

Seemed unlikely that an owner would driver it hundreds of miles for a service "because that's who did it for the last three owners", then drive home again for an MOT.

I did hear a few stories of garages buying the stamps of garages that have gone into administration, so they can give a car a full history and there isn't a garage to ring up and check...
