Yes I have to agree with you Rambo Lambo, certainly a great car and amazingly fast coupled with incredible handling.
I really do love everything about my 650s spider. I attended both days at Dunsfold this weekend and had positive comments from both passengers and onlookers all weekend. Epic cars, the brand is building and people are waking up to how good Mclaren cars really are.
I think I'll be keeping mine for a good few years for sure.

Highly competent car but never a classic in a million years. Stop the delusion, enjoy a great car, accept the inevetable depreciation.

Agree it will always depreciate from new and in the short term but so did 430 scuderia.
I would say its far more than a highly competent car and is most definitely under appreciated/valued but because of the growing brand/future demand and being built in such small numbers in real terms it does make it a strong proposition for a future classic even if its not in my lifetime rofl
You need to have vision with these things and I'm amazed at the reaction I get particularly with the younger generations ( future car buyers ) with the McLaren versus the Ferrari.

There are probably 5 or 6 458's to every 12C/650S and that's exclusivity for you.

675 LT prices don't seem to bad with £100k premiums

Saying a car won't be a future classic means you must have a crystal ball, who would have thought an A series Range Rover would be collectable.
The real issue is it's still a new car and in 15 to 20 years we will see. What's not in its favour is the carbon tub as no one and I mean no one knows the life of a carbon structure.
Who cares it's a great car and a very worthy competitor to a 458.

Diamonds, coal etc are made of carbon and they seem to last a few years!

You're right but they're not bonded together with glue wink

the 430 Scud was a ltd edition car and not a mass produced car so that comparison is just naff. The younger generations are excited to see a Mclaren as they are new. Once Mclaren continue bringing out 8 new models a year the novelty will wear off. Reminds me of when the R8 was launched - what is it now just a pimped up Audi TT wink
"There are probably 5 or 6 458's to every 12C/650S and that's exclusivity for you" - Let's talk after 5 years when Mclarens will be like Audis - everywhere smile

McLaren is hardly bringing out 8 models a year ???!
3,500 12C and 2,500 650S worldwide is hardly Audi numbers.

The only reason Mclarens will be everywhere is because they have the best product and will be conquesting other supercar buyers.

Believe me when I say the Italians are afraid, very afraid. Mafia or not
