The fat guy has even got a grabbing arm on the shelf so he doesn't have to stand up to reach his Big Mac.

That is a very old photo of Arni - steroids were taken by the skip load in those days, how many heart issues has he had?

He tried so hard to look like me, but could never keep up.
I actually thought it was a gun!

As for Arnie, I reckon he would be in far better shape than most of his age. Still an odd shape though:-)

Why don't they do size 33 or 35?
GAP do 33 inch waist trousers/jeans (I have a couple of pairs).
Alot of brands do
Correct. Asos is my source for 33s, which typically fit me perfectly.

Remember having n a discussion about waist size at work years back, we all quoted ours, I was rocking a 34 back then, lad called Pepe said 42 (big fat lad, only like 25) and his oppo Tom was mahoosive, like a barrel, the storeman, a little kind of double denim teddy boy type comes out and proudly tells us he is still in a 30 inch waist like when he was at college 25 years back, unlike you fat fkers.

Pepe, always a master of deadpan returns goes, "But what about that big sweaty dewflap hanging over the front" biggrin

now I dont know what a Dewflap is actually, dont think it exists, but in my mind it is what a man with an advanced and floppy beer belly, gathered over many years of drinking in the local working mens club gets when the weight goes nowhere else thus enabling him to wear the same sized jeans.

The "Dewflap" was magnificent, it had a life of its own, and in hindsight it was probably risky to call us fat given its presence, he certainly regretted saying it, so we decided we had to add in a remainder of what hangs over the front and add it together, so he was a 30 remainder 30 to account for the pendulous long range beer tank.

Yep, I'm definitely an awkward size and shape and really struggle with clothes.

My first issue is that I'm a strapping 5'7 so have the usual woes that us shorter guys have. In addition to that, I've 'almost' compete on the bodybuilding circuit so have further distorted my proportions by having a 32" waist (sometimes smaller), 44" chest, wide shoulders and chunky limbs.

Work shirts are a nightmare! I have a number of shirts which I've had tailored as it's my only option really. If I try a shop bought shirt, then if it fits my neck, the rest of it hangs off me. If I find one that has a smaller neck (but can't do it up which is fine on non-tie days), then it pulls at the buttons on the chest and my biceps and forearms don't fit. If I find a larger, but 'slim fit' shirt, I can just about fit in it, but my forearms don't fit.

I was looking for work trousers a few weeks ago, and while I'm very thick set, I'm not huge, but found that I couldn't get my calves through the thigh bit of 32" wait trousers. While I have irregular proportions, clothing manufacturers have definitely changed the shape they cut clothes to fit!! My calves are muscly, but there's no way they are as big as a regular build persons thigh!

Suits are a nightmare and have to have them tailored or altered to fit. I have found that buying a 'better' suit in the first place does tend to help. M&S, Next or any of the high street places, their suits just won't fit me even if you can pick and mix the jackets and trousers so end up finding it impossible to buy suits on a budget.

I attended a wedding last weekend which was set over two days so did buy a new suit and a jacket for the following day. For anybody who finds suits uncomfortable, I can't recommend Circolo jackets highly enough. The one I bought is a mix between cotton and lycra, so while it looks like a material jacket, it's unlined and stretchy and I found it as comfortable as wearing a jumper. I've always hated wearing smart stuff as I can't move in it but was so pleased to find something smart AND comfortable. And yes, I did still have to have the sleeves shortened smile

I'm 6'0" and have a 29" inside leg. Stumpy legs, very long torso - jeans always too long and t-shirts always too short!
I'm the exact opposite -a skinny 6'0" tall with 32" waist but 34.5inch inside legs (like twiglets) . The wife reckons I've got the legs of someone 6'6" and the torso of someone 5'6"! Thing that P*ss*s me off is when you try to buy trousers in the majority of high street shops and they're labelled as 'long' -eg 32L, 34L etc but in fact their idea of 'long' means 32inches -THAT'S NOT LONG!

Typical odd shaped pistonheader as they actually are:

I actually do look a little like Arnie, and am very much into my weightlifting (I posted a thread in health matters with pics)... except I am slightly cross eyed and have a chipped tooth, not quite the same catch! frown

I have a 64cm head too. Just booked my graduation ceremony and had to order the largest size mortar board they do. Do they make the board bigger to compensate? Might end up looking like a football with a post-it note on top! rofl

Doing weights screws with your shape, ok, in a good way but I have been trying XL shirts on form my wardrobe and they no longer fit round my shoulders, didnt think I had made much of a gain but obviously have, and it isnt all fat.

My problem is I have a big arse and legs in comparison to my waist. Makes trouser shopping a real problem, although Levi's are usually ok.

Really - put your picture up in your profile, don't be shy.
That's a bit rich considering yours is from 1960.

Hey??

Every denim brand I stock offer 33" waist.

Waist size also depends on the rise.

On a 9" rise I can get away with a 34" waist, on a 12" rise I need a 36 or even a 38" waist, if I want to wear it in the right place.

Problem most men have is they wear all trouser on the same place (hips) regardless of where they are meant to be worn, hence many trousers with a higher rise look so crap as they wear them too low and then they look baggy at the rear.

You need to go to somewhere that has a decent selection of denim and find a brand and style that you like. Then you can just buy the different fabrics/washes in that brand/style.

Also, inside leg is not the inside, it is the outside minus the rise.

Several months ago in the bath I noticed my right calf was bigger than my left. Being a little hypochondriac i went to see the doc about it. Apparently I have varicose veins in that leg. Nothing much I can do about it.

Lads, stop moaning about the odd inch here or there, P-Jay is properly weirdly constructed. Shirts must be a nightmare.

You may well do, and I commend you on that, but the vast majority of shops only seem to work in even numbers.
