Yes, we get a couple of those from friends of the Mrs. Frankly though, pretentious wkers telling me how many exotic holidays they've had and how marvellously little Satsuma is doing at school can fk right off.
Yes. They never tell you the offspring have learning difficulties and husband has been caught for tax dodging.

Jemima and Tarquin are always excelling at school and learning the Cello.

Learning difficulties. Covers a whole spectrum of things which are currently fashionable for middle class parents to claim their kids suffer from.

All my (privately educated - not a boast, I'm pure working class stock and got a place because I could knock out a tune on the piano) former school friends seem to have children with some kind of syndrome these days.

I would say they are a large step up from Butlins, glorified maybe and more expensive so it pushes most of the council chavs away.

Note: This UK holiday is just in addition to the annual 3 week USA holiday of coarse.
Coarse? Council..

No, you're barking up the wrong tree.

I would say she's not council but her putting a booted foot on the furniture may suggest a questionable family tree.

Being a landlord of *some* properties

Old Mercedes - any model

Owning any boat too big to transport over land

Car for the weekend - better if it needs you (and your saucy Mrs) to wear goggles

Ability to fly (pilot)

Ride on lawn mower - a drag behind/groundsman type that leaves 40+ inch stripes in your lawn

Service people - cleaner/gardener/nanny

My first suggestion :

Driving a Volvo V70 pre 2004
Funnily, upon reading the thread title, I did think "driving an old Volvo".
My missus drives a 1999 V70 and I drive a 1970 Volvo Amazon…
Would a 1999 C70 fit the criteria?

I know Pistonheads has some of the most pretentious individuals on the planet, but do we really need two identical threads of people desperately trying to outdo each other with what they think posh people are all about? laugh

It's already being done chaps - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Not realising that the other thread is a revival as a consequence of this one. Not Council. Not not-council. Just thick. Therefore no place here.

As far as I'm concerned? Yes. Very much so.

(bonus non-council points should be awarded if it's a T5 model finished in metallic saffron with a black leather interior and the Dolby pro logic speaker on the dash)
