991.2 Manual GT3??
Discussion
If rumours are correct that the 991.2 GT3 will be a manual and naturally aspirated, can we expect 991.1 GT3 cars to take a hit in value back down nearer the £100k mark for a relatively low mileage RHD example? And similarly will the value of the 991.1 GT3 RS take a tumble nearer to £150k? RS values are already slowly falling closer to £200k....
Personally I can see this happening as however much hype there is, a new 911 is not a £300-400k car, therefore meaning that the next, greatest model will surely have to sit at the price point which the existing cars are sitting at. And the current cars values will drop accordingly.
Obviously this post doesn't count the 911R as it is already an anomaly, in the less limited, limited run GT Porsche car range!!
Would love to hear everyones thoughts.

I don't see current 991 GT3's coming off that much....car market despite what people say is still pretty solid with good cars selling in no time at all. I find following dealers Twitter feeds or even watching one or two specialists stock closely gives you a good insight. You get to see what sells quickly or not at all....JZM are still selling cars pretty quickly as a rule.
Sure RS's are coming off but that is to be expected as supply/demand balances out. I do see 991.2 GT3's in manual form fetching a premium to other 991 GT3's though.
More interesting question perhaps is what happens to 997.2 GT3/RS Prices as they caught a bid as the last of the manual GT3. Personally I don't see them budging too much either! Hardly ever more than a handful on the market.

I cannot see why anyone would pay more than £90k for a 991 GT3 atm knowing the new one is coming out with a choice of Manual or PDK the 4.0L engine and maybe not even ltd production because VW need to make some money asap, sales are right down and selling cars is what's needed from the group. IF there is a demand for the car like there was with the GT4 and we saw UK GT4 number go from 200 cars to 600 cars, there will be unlimited 991.2 GT3 imo.
"Scandal-hit Volkswagen suffers 19% profit downturn in first quarter of 2016"
Audi sale are also down.
"The luxury car brand (Porsche)owned by the VW Group delivered a 14 per cent rise in underlying operating profits"
It's no surprise 991 GT3, GT4 and Spyders just kept arriving into the UK is it, the cars sold themselves at RRP !
with RS prices £70k down in 12 months and £30k down the last month, the 991 GT3 will take a £40k hit once the new car starts to pick up speed.
the flipper market will be gone and any one who paid £275k for the RS and £165k for the 991GT3 will be taking a BIG bath.
only winners were list buyers laughing all the way to the bank, flipping cars at crazy prices to people with a lot of money to spend to be seen owning the lastest thing.
I hope all this new car flipping will stop soom and prices go back to normal and POrsche can fix it over night with the next GT3 if unlimited, put it this way if Porsche say 200 GT3's you know >600 are coming anyway !

nothing is selling, I keep my eye on the 997.2 GT3 market and prices have also fallen, TH just sold a 997 RS at £128k, the White RS gen 2 at Solihul was on at £185k it's now on at £170kSure RS's are coming off but that is to be expected as supply/demand balances out. RPM have had RS's in stock for months.
JZM were selling RS the same day 8 months back and had lists of people waiting, they how have bigger stock and cars sitting there. ALL the GT3 market is over priced and is scaring people to avoid buying.
The new 991.2 GT3 will affect all GT3 prices!
Who would want to buy a 3 year old 991 PDK GT3 for £30k more than a new one????
Also, if a buyer wants a manual GT3 they currently have the option of a 996/7 model for anything between £75k - £180k ..... or they can buy a brand spanking new one from the dealership with a warranty for around £105k

This is an important point. It will essentially come down to how accessible the .2 will be to list price buyers. If Porsche limit orders initially as they did with the GT4, then premiums will be possible, but will simmer over time if they release more. If however they open orders up to all, and basically build to meet demand, then they will remain at list (or lower), and the .1's will drop considerably.Who would want to buy a 3 year old 991 PDK GT3 for £30k more than a new one????

I have an order in, but if an initial small supply is offered, I reckon the GT4 would be needed to sweeten the deal and I'm not convinced I'd want to let it go.

You have an order in - you mean you have an LOI in place? A manual GT3 would suit me perfectly. Here's hoping for unlimited production and a PTS slot

I totally disagree. I follow all dealers on twitter/instagram etc and I really can't see the prices holding. I don't think cars are selling especially quickly. Nothing like what they were.
if Porsche limits RHD supply again, you can always go and order one on the continent - don't think the GT3 was ever limited
Given the fall in sterling, I would not be surprised if Porsche use this to adjust the rather low list prices in the UK back to more comparable levels with other countries - so not convinced you will see the 105k-110k list GT3
