If you view the source code, you'll see the list of people who have completed it is just plain text entry, not a dynamic or auto-updated list.
How could you tell? Maybe the HTML page is created by PHP.

yes

It also puts your current score in as plain text.

Do you think some images might relate to famous singles / albums rather than the performer? I tried the obvious one ("Yes" for the Fragile-labelled cardboard box) ages ago but of course it isn't.
Maybe, though the basic nine are quite obvious and point to the artist rather than one of their songs. Except for "Metallica" - I must admit that while it's obvious now, I didn't get that until I read it here. I tried Terence Trent-D'Arby for the box, for "Delicate", but wrong.

New comment says that the chimp is a particular one, not just a chimp. I started looking for artists whose name is "Jim P"-something, but got nowhere. Presumably the chimp is Bubbles, but that hasn't helped me.

It does like more and more like it might be a wind-up, but then someone said earlier there was another quiz about tube stations that presumably wasn't.

The "famous chimps" I came up with were:

Cheeta, Bubbles, Bear(From "BJ and the Bear", a show title that should never have made it past the censors) and Bonzo. I still cannot come up with a band name based on any of these.

My Sister claims to have found ELO, being that she hasn't told me where exactly she might be in on it hehe

The logical place would be the light bulb on top of the record player, but that's neither ELO nor Electric Light Orchestra. And just in case they are very picky, it's also not "Jeff Lynne's ELO".

I went backwards through the last 50-odd pages of the "what song are you playing right now" thread in the music board, in case that gave me any ideas. It didn't.

I did think that the chimp on the wheelchair might be the blow monkeys, being bubbles the chimp (I think) but it wasn't.

Can't decide if I'm going to cry or murder someone. Hardest quiz I've ever done - 9/50 like everyone else.

My guess is that the quiz setter has serious dyslexia which is why we can't get these.

I tried them for that one, and for another picture clue on there, but no luck.

I am. Every time I see a band name I'm mentally running through the images I can remember to see if any of them fit - watching "Sounds of the 70s", even walking around the car boot sale I'm looking at album covers and CD spines, but nothing so far.

I thought I'd cracked the skeleton one as Iggy and the Stooges - Iggy Pop is really skeletal, but then I remembered the false-tache-and-glasses mask was a Marx, not one of the Three Stooges.

I thought that skeleton one had a connection with Einstein but I don't know of any singers/bands associated with him.

Also the skeleton has one calf shorter than the other. Which is no help either.
