Been using Prime for well over a year with no issues - then suddenly the past few weeks had loads of problems. Bidding items (ordered 3 of something but only 2 items were in the box), one high value delivery went "missing" altogether - and multiple deliveries arriving 2 or 3 days late.

They are getting meaner in their '1 months Prime membership' compensation too.

Not that mean, I've had three extensions in a month or so without asking for any of them.

Currently awaiting a delivery date on three items I ordered on TUESDAY this week, not even been shipped yet despite showing as in stock with Amazon as the seller.

I've only had good experiences with it, with multiple orders.

Best ones are where I have ordered something at 2230, knock on the door at 0800 and there it is.

Never had a problem, but rather than wait in why don't you get stuff delivered to the nearest Amazon Locker or pick up point so that you can collect at your convenience?

I've never had a problem ever. I do get it delivered to my office so there are no excuses though.

Contacted Amazon yesterday to change the delivery address on a 30kg parcel as ArrowXL contacted to say it would be delivered between 7am & 8am, re-direct to home please - no problem says Amazon.

6.50am today, ArrowXL driver calls to ask where I am!

Thankfully they were nice chaps & I only live 10mins from my office so they dropped it to the house for me smile

I must just be unlucky by the sound of it...

The upside is that I've now had my FOURTH 1mth Prime extension in as many weeks lol!

We've been using Amazon Prime for almost a year now and really think it's worth every penny. Same & next day delivery is such a convenience. I've probably had 50-60 parcels delivered by them and not one was late.

Those lockers are so handy when you know there will be no one in and it will not go through the letter box. Saves a trip to the post office every Saturday morning.

I think the problem is that they seem to be using some really st couriers. UPS, DHL, FedEx and even Royal Mail seem to be far better than the self employed type they seems to be increasingly using now. I'm sure these self employed guys are under huge pressure for delivery targets and getting paid very little.

Amazon logistics have just gained me my FIFTH one month extension!

They have another one they are due to deliver today...

If we were out in the middle of nowhere I could almost understand it.

Even Hermes seem to be better than Amazon Logistics & that's saying a lot!

Pretty confident todays delivery is not going to arrive, just missed two drivers outside the office in plain white vans speaking with Eastern European accents holding Amazon parcels, looked like they were trying to find something but put parcels back in the van & drove off frown

Sorry that there appear to be many having problems.

I was fairly early to Prime membership (way pre TV...) and in the entire time have not had one single item go missing or not be delivered on time.

The closest it ever got was when they dropped something off with the neighbour and didn't leave a card. One log on, one call back to me and a new item would have been dispatched to me directly if i hadn't seen the neighbour walk up to the front door as i was on the phone...

Amazon Logistics aren't the brightest people in the world, the companies Amazon use as their "logistics" company seem to employ those who will work for minimum wage and have no concept of using their eyes or common sense. I have them reguarly asking me where companies are having seen them driving around and despite them having huge signs outside. Some can't even figure out they're on a completely different road just because their sat nav says they're in the right place.

I've not had issues with items not being delivered - generally had a good service from Amazon over several years.

One thing that does bug me is that I've gone to the trouble of having a wheelie bin by the front door, chained to the wall and with a padlock on the lid which is left unlocked so any delivery can be put in the bin and the lid locked. Despite the bin being clearly marked for deliveries and a sign by the door asking for deliveries to be put in the bin and secured, Amazon Logistics regularly deliver to my next door neighbour instead of following the simple instructions.

On another note, I was just having a look at the Amazon website for somewhere to raise this issue, when I came across the Amazon Prime Now bit where they will apparently deliver chilled beer and drinks - interestingly, their Ts and Cs include:

Amazon said:
Ultra-fast delivery on chilled drinks
Prime members can now order chilled beer, wine and cider via the Prime Now app. Note that alcohol is not for sale in Glasgow and to people under the age of 18. A signature may be required on delivery. Please drink responsibly and in moderation.

You have to leave those instructions in your Amazon account for them to take notice I believe.

Yep - I'm aware of that, and you have the option of selecting a "safe place" from a pre-defined list without the ability to add any instructions.
"Locked in the wheelie bin by the front door" isn't one of those pre-defined options. Options are stuff like "in the shed", "in the porch" etc..

The only place you can provide further info is if you select "deliver to neighbour" and provide details of the neighbour to deliver to, so that is what I've selected and in both the details of the neighbour bit and the additional info bit have requested they lock it in the wheelie bin. So they follow neither the instructions by the front door nor the details of the neighbour on the account.

You could say that they have been asked to deliver to the neighbour so are doing so, but they are not delivering to the "neighbour" specified.

Other delivery companies don't seem to have an issue with leaving stuff locked in the bin.

Fortunately the neighbour they tend to choose is ok about it and we get on well, but that's not the point.

My other gripe is having once tried the option to deliver to a local shop where you can pick up the package.
The local shop I chose stated on the Amazon website that they were open until 11pm on weekdays - the only reason I chose it so that I could pick up the parcel after work. On getting to said shop it turns out to be an off-licence and post office combined. The guy there then tells me that although they are open until 11pm, the post office bit closes at 4:30pm and you have to get the parcel from that bit. So instead of getting the parcel quicker via picking it up, I ended up having to wait several days for the weekend when I could get it on the Saturday morning.
They should ensure that the pick up locations correctly detail the times that parcels can be picked up.

Despite all the above, I'm still pretty happy with Amazon and will continue to buy things from there as I've ultimately received everything ordered over the past several years.

Annoyingly, although it appears to save your safe place delivery preference, they seem to pay no attention to it unless you manually re-select it for each delivery.

Also, despite mine saying 'garage' (which is locked, but the safe place is very apparent behind it in a covered area), they still leave parcels out in the rain on my step or plonked on my patio table in full view of anyone coming to the door. My actual postie is brilliant with packages, but Amazon Logistics are about the worst at following a simple instruction.
