I think His father was a Companies trader in the eighties, made loads of money, lost loads, sent to prison, made more when bailed etc etc. Dan's money is largely his fathers but he is well known on the world poker scene too, I guess if you can play big stakes you win big too.. Likes guns, girls and his cat.
IIRC, and I may not, his dad was a dodgy bd ripping people off and little Dan has been living off of daddy's money but claiming to have won it all playing poker.

His dad made lots of money illegally however managed to squirrel a lot of it away in trust funds for his children which his son [Dan Bilzerian] made use of to forge a career as a poker player in games which had a very high buy in figure. Due to the persona he portrayed whilst playing poker and the lifestyle he publishes on social media, he's gained notoriety and huge fame which subsequently has earned him a whole lot more money. He tried on numerous occasions to pass the Navy SEAL program however failed each time.
All a bit "meh" to me but I'm sure it impresses impressionable boys/men and young ladies who crave exposure.

Living his lifestyle in private would be pretty awesome and quite enviable but the constant need spread it all over the internet for "likes" is a bit sad.
That and the source of his (fathers) wealth is pretty questionable too.
If I had seemingly limitless funds I'd probably go crazy and spend every weekend flying around the world on a massive Gulfstream with my cat and goats and crowd of filthy "Instagram models" too but I wouldn't be sharing it with the world and I wouldn't be expecting the whole internet to pat me on the back and tell me how awesome I am for doing it.
