There's those that being able to drive at any point in the day is a novelty. Ahem.

I had a card with 555 which reminded me of the old Subaru rally cars. I never bought one with it though.
Got 567 on 1 of mine, another is 994 & that was the start of the ex Powerfully Built's plate., 994 MAL.

Just remembered that I set the pin for something as my Mums age then & the engine size of her car.

The good old days when she had an XJS & the Old Man a Bentley.

How have I got this life so wrong?

Not sure if you have old chap? I had an XJS years ago. Bloody thing spent more time under the spanner than it ever did actually moving.
Mind, nothing major ever went wrong - just a constant stream of minor niggles and repairs grumpy

Never owned a Bentley though, not sure that I'd want to? Might give one a run out if I win the lotto. Be a help if I bought a ticket I suppose.

Morning all, have I mentioned that I am still dry in the 3rd week of January yet? hehe
Well I have just got back from the pub with the OH and the Dog, the intention was to have a coffee at the pub while out walking the dog and relax in front of the lovely log fire. We got the table by the log fire but when we asked for coffee I was informed the machine was currently out of order.....So I had to resort to Beer.....Which was nice beer
Washed the Beer down with a Baked camembert and rustic breads Made a nice change from Cornflakes biggrin

With the rest of the Towers' occupants absorbed in air guitar, Dicky turns his attention to the serious issue of the 2017 Marmalade. He has 4 lbs of Seville oranges, 8 lbs of sugar and exclusive use of the kitchen until about 2 o'clock.

The make-one-singe-batch-this-time-you-idiot method is being attempted in various pots simultaneously in the hope of rationalising the cooking process. This was the lesson learned during the Christmas Cake debacle. Instead of researching the cooking times for cooking all three cakes at once (one for us, one for my mum and one for Uncle Ron), Dick the Genius cooked them one at a time and monopolised the oven for fourteen hours.

The blip on the National Grid's usage graph is still be investigated.

If anyone wants me, I'm in the outhouse ferreting about for jars.
yum

Having tried to cook more than one Chrustmas Cake at the same time and failed due to cooking times not being realistic

It's easier to monopolise the oven.

In the new house, I will have 2 ovens smile

You may be right chap.

Don't remember it being too bad, was only a 6 cylinder one though, Old Man always thought it a better drive than a V12 due to the lesser weight in the thing.

I'd have an 'Ever so Gently' tomorrow, V8S Spur if you're bothered. One of the current Powerful's has a V8 Spur, non S, but we had a GTC V8S as a loaner last year & it made some very nice noises, turned me into a bit of a Herbert if I was out on my own!!

Ah, my XJS was a V12. The 6 cylinder ones were still quite new and pricey at the time. I've always thought the 4.0 six was the best of the bunch, all things considered.
The Bentley V8 Spur would be my weapon of choice too. I remember watching somebody hooning a GTC around at Bruntingthorpe. Very impressive how it got its skirts up, sounds like you're familiar with that!

Anyhow, roast chicken dinner on the menu tonight. Nom nom... lick

Errrr. Can't talk too much about my familiarity!!

Still have a lot of love for the Arnage T one of the PB's had though, epic Euro Cruiser imo. It screamed 'Get out of my fking way prole!!

PB & myself driving 2 hours on 2 hours off, did Monaco to The Southerly edge of Hertfordshire in 11 & a bit hours!!

Was considering flambe'd Pelican tonight, but we are settling for Chicken casserole.

Gratuitous pic of it in Le Touquet...... Well Iva does it!

A year when I collected it from Monaco alone driving

Do what Vivian from The Young Ones recommended:

1. Eat a chicken vindaloo set meal for six and ten cans of XXXXX 'Get Pissed Fast' lager
2. Weigh yourself and go to bed
3. Wake up
4. Go to the toilet once
5. Weigh yourself again. Look at the difference it will be amazing

Happy Days.

Were the answers avian or Shakespearean?

Isn't the cuckold the daddy cuckoo when the mummy cuckoo is having a flap around with another daddy cuckoo?

Trivial news today:
I have bought an aldi razor. It doesnt fit the refills I have. I therefore have stubble and am being mistaken for a hobo who slept rough last night.
In other news - I didn't sleep a wink last night due to the chattering of the heating system upstairs

Following Dicky's posts yesterday, I quite fancied a bit of toast and marmalade this morning. Can't find any marmalade in the house at all grumpy

Looks like a trip out to get some is on the cards. Trouble is, I've done things like this before, acting on a whim etc. By the time I get back home I'll have gone off the idea and won't want it.
