You people have bars with beer on trains?

Im doing something terrible wrong here, i shall be taking a 30 year old intercity with one lay-over to a place that would take me slightly over 30 minutes by car... and paying more then the petrol would cost...
The train I used to travel home on from London not only had a bar but also a Pullman Restaurant. My ambition to use it rather than just the bar got the better of me and I booked a seat. The chap opposite me was a very pleasant man who was interested to know where I was off to as he used the restaurant often and hadn't seen me before. I told him I was satisfying an ambition and would pass my stop in Newbury before the main course and alight in Taunton after coffee to take the train back home again. He was less keen to talk to me after that. I don't know why.

You sound like the train geek bloke on the episode of Big Bang theory.

"I used to work for UPS but a big box fell on my head and now I just claim benefits"
