On celebrity antiques hunt, they're driving a Trident née TVR.

A bit ugly,no wonder it flopped.
Very rare car, which version of the car was it?
it sold as a TVR Trident, Trident clipper, venturer or tycoon.

If it was actually the TVR version they only made 4 of them!

That reminds me, must check mine. Planning a trip to the Isle of Man in the new year, can't be too careful what with all this bloody Brexout business.

Don't want to end up stuck there...

Looking at images on the phone doesn't really help, think it was a Clipper.
Didn't see the beginning to hear what it was described as.

It was red.

Ugly? Are we talking about the same car? That's a fine looking car.

The idea sort of carried over into the Tasmin, UIAVMM.

The Name Dropping Dept.
The chap I bought the RS2 from off of from, restored a - or possibly the - Trident convertible. There are pics of it about; it's pale blue.

I wonder what Maserati had to say about the use of the name Trident?

Resolved.

This is the word I've been searching for.

The Trident design is not well resolved but small sports car firms of the 60 70s didn't have the budget of Pinintouringguiro .

Reminded me of a Ford Corsair a bit.

There he goes, into the arms of Morpheus, to dream of bejewelled Volkswagens and the unresolved styling of British kit cars.

My dream involved a row with a very cross Policeman who couldn't be bothered to get out of his car.

By the bye, the Old Bill are in my mind because I've started to receive emails from an outfit calling themselves Police Resettlement Expo asking 'Have you left or are you looking to leave the Police Force?'

Really? Me? What are the odds of successfully cold calling someone with a specification that narrow?

Old Bill is an odd bit of slang. Old Bill was a cartoon soldier from the First War, not a copper.

Drawn by Bruce Bairnsfather I've just discovered.

Big day today. Hoping to further the cause. Most days are big days.
Typical chat:
Me: good weekend Steve what did you get up to?
Steve: not much. Watched football, went round my nans, went to Aldi. You?
Me: oh same. Not much *

(= stripped off weatherboarding from the side of the barn and started cladding but gave up as it's too cold without gloves, replumbed the hall radiator, laid some turf, logged up a tree that came down in the wind. Lapped some valves in and put a head on, sorted out some old carbs and swapped jets around. Ordered stuff off eBay and investigated why the car trailer is at an odd angle and researched indespension units as mine have splined trailing arms. Went into town under duress to get shirts and picked up a sheet of half inch ply to make a dash and did the first cut and marking out for gauges. Watched Grand Tour while on ebay looking for '70's gauges and other unobtanium stuff, wormed the cat and measured up for two windows while assisting OH fitting new socket faceplates with USB sockets as she's refurbing the utility, rewired the boiler feed in mini trunking. Drained down and put anti freeze in the cars and the jeep and shat myself as I think the jeep block is cracked again after my repair 5 years ago so decided to leave it until spring to see if the sump ends up filled with water like last bloody time.

a) how do I cover that in answer?
b) did Steve do similar but can't be arsed to go into detail either?

Is it a bloke thing?

Morning!
Got to get an uber from Stanmore to Basildon today to pick up my car after getting a new engine. I hate cabs, it involves human interaction frown

I apologise for lack of posts since joining the thread, I still have no internet at my house and using my phone is frustrating!hehe

OK, coming from NE scotland I've never used Uber.

I though it was just another taxi? Surely you would have the same level of interaction?

I meant to change the word cab to uber, it's still a cab and still involves that whole 'social interaction' thing people seem to be mad about, it's just cheaper hehe

I'm fine thanks, V. It was Iva I was concerned about. Most nights I only need five or six hours so you will often see me in here late and then bright-eyed and full of bullst early next morning.

That makes more sense, I had images of self driving cars or limos with privacy screens in my head.
