Yes, but it's not all bad. The resulting Free-For-All in the bar is the stuff of legend.

The cry goes up very quietly, "Battert's asleep!"
I dont like the way he sleeps with his glass eye open at all, i find it rather disconcerting.

Puts me right off my VaT

Someone has to go to Wolverhampton and I suspect it's me.

Farewell!

I know a chap who sleeps with his eyes open; his OH says it's quite disconcerting.

The yard I'm picking up from is next to HMP Featherstone. A prison next door to 600 getaway cars. Hmmm. Have they thought this through?

This is a problem then as we may not see Dicky for several decades.

Several decades? I'd better invite you to my 90th birthday bash now then.

Only thing to report here is a couple of men on the neighbour's roof. It looks like they're effecting some sort of repair but I suppose the buggers could be nicking the lead flashing. There's a lot of banging and shouting going on.

I'll have a proper look when I take the dog for a walk.

I'm worried about Impasse.

He hasn't posted anything for 90 days.

That's eons in PH years.
I recall something, I think in the 'Members Who Drop Off The Map' thread, someone said they'd PM'd him but heard nothing back.

I do hope he's OK.
That would have been me.

I'm worried too Dickie, I think it's been longer than that - I mailed him about the DDs fur DMN & again since

Maybe hes in Kings Lynn and going to return when there's something to report?

Just a thought

Another entry in the "not even remotely trivial things, but i still want to share" line:

My house got appraised yesterday for the whole mortgage trickery, just got the report, ended up 7% over target value biggrin All means the bank is much more likely to play ball. (and by god am i happy that i have in writing that my ex doesnt get any money out of the deal..)

King's Lynn? Mrs B used to go there about once a month, something to do with the work she was doing at the time.
I don't think she misses it much to be honest.

Anyhow, the neighbour's roof business turns out to be all above board. Above fascia board at least. One of the roofers was by the van as I was passing so I stopped for a quick chat. Face like a punched kebab but a nice chap all the same.

Good news on the house there Vittie, glad it's all getting sorted.

You might be pleasantly surprised Jim. I once saw a chap on a unicycle in Peterborough. Outside the Queensgate Centre he was, IIRC.

Thanks Bomma, the finish line is now well and truly in sight! Just some minor paperwork to sort out and hopefully that will land me an offer, the notary has already been picked, so then its just a matter of signing the papers!

Watch out for the water jump ,just before the finish line, it jumps out when you least expect it to.
