I remember this plate being discussed on one of the Number Plate threads some time ago. I was interested as I'd seen the plate too at around the same time, it was then on a Golf Cabriolet.
IIRC someone said it belonged to the daughter of car dealer Tom Hartley.
I'll text Chris Evans in the morning. If it tickles him he'll get a researcher or two on to it.IIRC someone said it belonged to the daughter of car dealer Tom Hartley.

A statue to Cilla Black was unveiled yesterday by the Cavern in Liverpool. This morning as I drove up the M40 to Wolverhampton, Chris Evans was waxing lyrical about Cilla and her singing abilities and played Alfie. On my return I was overtaken by a black Audi TT with the registration CILLA.
I posted this on the Category 3 Plates thread but tumble weed.

Radio X unfortunately has an infestation of Moyles.
I feared the worst when it went from XFM to Radio X, but I was pleasantly surprised - he seems to have grown up a bit (but not enough that he's dull ). sc0tt said:
Been off work for a month and just landed my biggest contract to date. Cheers

There was a brilliant episode of The Comic Strip called Mr Jolly Lives Next Door.
Ade Edmondson and Rik Mayall were running an escort agency, Peter Cook was a hitman who had the office next door to them. Also featured Nicholas Parsons as himself.
Absolutely bloody hilarious!
That's exactly why I posted! It was the best Comic Strip episode Ade Edmondson and Rik Mayall were running an escort agency, Peter Cook was a hitman who had the office next door to them. Also featured Nicholas Parsons as himself.

Back in the 90's an old mate of mine had a white Bedford Rascal van similar to the Dreamytime Escorts' one.
Like me, the man was a total fruitcake.
Used to be a bloody riot every time we went anywhere together in it. Couldn't help ourselves
I had the Suzuki supercarry, (same van diffrent engine). Used to sometimes have to drive the bloody thing from Tolworth (A3) to Salcombe, South Devon and back in a day! God I used to be knackered at the end of that run! Hills were a bloody nightmare. Like me, the man was a total fruitcake.

Theres a great bubble car sequence with a proud couple (the real winners of the evening with Nicholas Parsons) careering off the road. So its probably an iconic film for bubble car owners
There was the lovely old Citroen DS the gangster had too.I now keep thinking about various bits of the film and giggling to myself. I've got it on DVD somewhere, I'm going to have to dig it out and have a proper look at it (courtesy of Absinthe & Pringles Entertainment).
ETA: I've just thought of the Japanese tourist on the 'sightseeing' tour...

It was shades of the 'Dangerous Brothers' which always made me laugh as it was so ridiculous
