An £800 Focus? Do people really expect a warranty with that sort of car these days? I suppose they must.

I'd give him his money back and tell him to use his bus pass.. Miserable old sod.
Ah yes, that takes me back a bit.

The Eternal Complainer.

He expects a full, no holds barred, platinum, blue ribbon, cast iron, diamond studded, extra care, lifetime, parts, labour and consumables warranty on any vehicle ( from the trade-in compound round the back ) he decides to purchase with the huge sum of £50 upwards that he has begrudgingly had to wrest from under his filthy mattress. And free tea coffee and biccies every time he comes into the showroom with his next complaint, like
"The petrol gauge is reading low" or "When I went to the shop in it the other day, there was white smoke coming from the exhaust" or "I think one of the tyres needs pumping up". ( A rear tyre looked a bit flat because it was one third on the kerb edge, two thirds in mid-air.) rolleyes

Every honest car dealer's delight. smile Dicky C, you have my sympathies.

When I worked at the SAAB dealer ,they occasionally had an older car on sale, might have been low mileage

and good condition but the warranty claims afterwards never worked out well.

I remember a particular 1972 L reg 99, had a little gearbox oil leak, not sure we ever sorted it.

ION ,someone is testing the Gallardo Superleggera from "that" dealer down the road ,I can hear it,

haven't seen it ,I just know.

It's white with orange roof n detail bits.....nice.

is flat.

Must try harder, before they sell it.....it's only 148K

Has there ever been a survey to establish how many men using a George Foreman Lean Mean Grilling Machine start singing When I'm Cleaning Windows ?

I walked beside the Grand Union Canal today. It was nothing like the ridiculous image painted by Canaletto and I couldn't see any gondolas anywhere.

I want my money back.

I've never owned one but it's the sort of thing I'd do.

Probably give the food a bit of a poke around when it's cooked and say 'turned out nice again' too.

I walked on a bridge over it today; I was near the centre of Leicester as Princess Senior had an audition and interview at De Montfort University. It was cold and windy; the day, she reports, went well biggrin

You've been reading the revolting people thread biglaugh

I had two and a half hours to kill, so a TT meet up would've broken it up nicely.

Need to see a doctor, 2 1/2 hours to break up a poo with a stick is shocking.

why do kids ask such stupid questions? I pedal over to the offie on my road bike, it's night time and raining so I have my front/rear flashing lights on. at the corner of the road to where the offie is several kids on their bikes (why they are out at 8pm-ish in the rain i have no idea). prop my bike up against half the door of the offie, turn my lights off and go in to get some beers then come out.

Some kid: thats a reeally nice bike what is it?
Me: it's a decathalon B'twin
Some kid: oh coooool!.... can I have one of your lights?
I turn around with my bike and look at him

Me: why the hell would I give you any of my stuff?

I get on my bike and cycle off.

Bit of an odd one you've found there Champers.

I remember XTC from the early 80's, I couldn't recall any of them playing left handed. If you have a quick look at some of their other videos they are indeed playing right handed.

I wonder if there was some trickery involved in the video, or could they all play right or left handed confused

Me at the offie last Monday: Hum diddle de dum.....

Kid lurking outside: Oi can you get me some 'drink'?

Me: Yes what would the young man want, to partake of alcoholic beverages whilst under the Legal age, perchance a heady whiskey, the finest port or the coma inducing brandy? Do tell me my man, and be forthright about it let's not delay the deed of transaction lest I change my mind!

Kid: Faaaaack off

Got it now, after some digging. It was a protest at having to mime rather than playing live, as they wished,

Princess Senior found this on a compilation cd on the way home from Leicester; I vaguely remember it, but by jove there are some very 80's sounds in this; which met with her approval smile

That's a pity, it must be due a top end overhaul then. frown

Have they got a lower mileage example in stock?
