One of my ex's rang last week to say she still had her NSU if anyone's interested.
I have a friend who's a doctor, he could probably get her some antibiotics.

Rotary wankel?

There was a hotted up NSU Prinz at Castle Combe when my lads and I had a track day with the RS2. I wondered why anyone would bother. Until, that is, with me and the Audi doing our utmost the NSU came out of nowhere, passed me like I was tied to a tree and disappeared into the distance.

I was just wondering, would that be Mavis from the Top Rank Ballroom? Good sort she was, so was her friend.

Can't remember her name now, used to do the trick in the toilets with the clingfilm.

Happy days.

A carpenter came over to measure up some modifications on the stairs. After he left, I commented to herself how smart he looked.

Almost 7 hours of outraged fuming later, she realised that I meant he had nice well fitting clothes and a tidy haircut. She assumed I'd meant that carpenters were usually morons.

The same. Loved a trick did Mavis. Kept us lads entertained for hours playing hide the sausage.

I've remembered her name now you've mentioned that. Sharon the Sausage Hider.

Saveloy Shaz we used to call her.

Today I went from Edinburgh to Gatwick to Ashford to Gatwick to Ealing to Central London to the Midlands, and did things in the middle.

Bloody tiring and horrible using planes, trains and taxis.

The Edinburgh to Gatwick part by taxi must've been a bind.

I pulled into Nazareth, was feeling 'bout half past dead
I just need some place where I can lay my head
Hey, mister, can you tell me, where a man might find a bed?
He just grinned and shook my hand, "No" was all he said.

The Band* and The Weight. Heard it on the wireless a couple of days ago. It featured on the soundtrack of Easy Rider.

*The Band were Bob Dylan's backing group. He was essentially folk/rock while they were country.

Ish.

My telly has told me to do a Freeview re scan.

Meanwhile ,this week I read about some live motorsport on this year on a channel I'd never heard of.

After completing the 3 minute scan, I go through all channels up to 100 and lo and behold

channel 91, "Front runner " is now a thing.

Will be keeping an eye on listings for this channel ,British GT and some MINI racing incoming at some point.

Anyway, I have a tournament to marshal. The amphibious section from the canal via the marsh to the moat I find particularly taxing. I've no idea how Mrs Merryweather and her scooter are going to cope at all. Did she bring her entourage?

Note to Jim AK: Jim, did sending a gunboat do any good? Did it whip the blighters into line?

There's so much to think about.

Morning all.

No thanks Dicky's late intervention MV Pollyanna has arrived at the boatyard.

Unfortunately the intervention of the Gunboat was not entirely successful.

Would have helped had they not gone full stealth mode. Seems they also mistook the weir sluices as a training gantry although having slightly off target coordinates lessened the damage somewhat.

I was also momentarily detained by an Environment Agency vessel at Bray Lock due to my Licence not being displayed to regulation standards, they didn't send me a holder to stick it on the windscreen!!
