Today is Sunday.

There's motorsport on the telly.

I shall mostly be doing nothing.

I should have gone to an Italian car meet yesterday but couldn't.....

I DIYed today. After the patio doors were replaced with a so-called glass curtain we intended for the bottom two steps of the staircase to be minimalist. Long story short, Mrs C is not marooned upstairs. There has been a measure of success. I mean, I'd have fed her and whatnot but it's okay, she can use the stairs.

We're very pleased to make your acquaintance, Michelangelo.

Or is it Mr Michelangelo? I've never been sure.

And now the promised discussion on incorporating the flag or the colours of the flag of a car's country of origin in its paint scheme. A Mini with Union Jack roof or mirrors? An Alfa with red and green highlights? An American muscle car featuring the Stars and Stripes? So far, so good. However, can any explain this?

With the electrification of lines into Paddington many bridges have to be rebuilt. Except older footbridges at stations. For some reason the Victorians built the majority of their railway station footbridges high enough to allow for overhead power lines they could not imagine. How would the bean counters of today express their gratitude to the Victorians for this major cost saving?

Interesting that. I wonder if Brunel already had the plans on the back of a fag packet somewhere?

Either that or he was concerned about leaving enough clearance for those bloody big hats him and his cronies wore.

At least this one's just jumped over the border. The German car in Britain sporting the Italian flag just isn't right.

* some pedants may point out that Chrysler have factories in Mexico. None make this beauty though.

When ar were a lad if you wanted your car to go faster you stuck a GT badge or two on it and there was a fashion a couple of years ago to stick V6 badges on cars irrespective of whether they were V6 or not. Maybe people like something they see on a car and have to have it without giving thought to what it represents.
