Shortly after I was introduced to the saying 'The car's got all the bells and whistles,' I heard the enhancement, 'And window boxes and Venetian blinds.'

And then I heard, 'And hot'n'cold folding doors,' but I'd stopped believing in it by then.

Yeah, good timing there, Dicky. A big blob of nonsense on JTW's outpourings of grief.

Sorry. Though, in my defence, nonsense has seen me through some very dark times.

Light emitting nonsense?

You're doing it now.

Thanks - I did think that posting a grey 1 series was an odd response to it, but I thought "hey, it's PistonHeads, I've had worse leveled at me smile "

I see we're now stuck with the popular "skin" .

Like an unwanted face tattoo.

Having just read a "buying first car for offspring" type thread, there was a very tidy looking Suzuki Alto thing for sale in the street,£225.

R reg, automatic and now gone,sold?....... Looked ok to me for the money.

I wondered what had happened to the wood panelling in the snug, I'd assumed that Battert had chopped it up and fed it to the stove; this unilateral redecoration by the fabric subcommittee is an affront to constitutional procedure, this wasn't on the agenda at the last meeting and no actions were minuted. I've a good mind to write to The Times about this.

Interesting use of the word 'popular'; by this measure popular now means undesirable and unwanted.

I'm avoiding reading or adding to the moaning about the "skin" threads.

They're not going to change it back.

Last of the rugged individualists.

It's not a flood, it's a pond with a tree in the middle. Why it doesn't rot is for persons better qualified than me to explain.

Yesterday will be remembered in The Annals of Trivia as the day Papa Trivia failed to ignite a posting frenzy exploring the nature of miniature islands that appear to be simply a tree in a pond.

It wont last more that a couple of years even though its a willow. They must have flooded the area to form a lake.

I recognise that impressive large body of water,it's the lake in Upper Little Trivton Magna on the hill.

I peed in it once.

I reckon it's the same bloody crew who fitted our new water meter a few years ago. The front garden looked very similar to that by the time they'd finished buggering about grumpy
