That's a nice looking boat there Jim. It sounds like there's more to this boating business than meets the eye - I'll tell him to check out all the mooring fees etc, thanks.

I left Penrose at home more out of concern for the safety of the other waterfowl. He once took on a flock of Canadian Geese after he thought one of their number had stolen his Rothmans - mind you, the little bugger had had a drop of Absinthe...

He died in 1982 ,must've been a doppelganga.

Thank you very much always nice to hear positive comment.

The hull, blue bit, is an old Ship`s lifeboat circa 1900/1910 apparently, superstructure that`s white top bits is oak under steel. Originally had wooden topside, under steel now to give an authentic boaty vibe in the cabin! It was converted to a cruiser in the 1950`s somewhere near Huntingdon.

Me & a pal Little Pete, Petit Pedro to his friends, spent 5 years rebuilding it inside & out. Hate to think what it cost me! Pre Mrs Jim AK so nobody was counting.

If your mate wants any pointers, feel free to PM me.

As regards Penrose, I think he should be banned from smoking it will make his feathers yellow! Would quite like to see him go up against a Heron actually.

Yes on the Viper but its not hard to reverse, I use the camera for a bit of fun, I have a flip out monitor / sat nav /dvd/radio unit in the car which also features a back up camera which you can switch on doing track days, Kids love it. smile

Are you thinking of the main character from Back to the Future?

On the plus side for my 50th next year my folks are sending me on holiday, possibly to New York as I keep banging on about wanting to go. When there I plan to hit as many nice bars as possible and see where a posh Public school accent leads me hehe

Five pounds?!?

I have no recollection of this at all. Who authorised it? Where is the paperwork?

Spoil my Sunday would you?

Outrageous.

Oh, don't be like that. We'll have a whip round for a new soiree. I'm sure someone would make some cheese and pineapple on sticks. We could even have silverskin onions and midget gherkins. I could throw in some lardy cake. That always makes a party go with a swing.

Morning all. Five pounds? I'd wager you could claim that back chap. The Chief Constable was reprimanded for charging for 'overnight accommodation', I'll have a word with him when he's sober.
