That's five days this week of frost scraping, here in sunny Sussex. Might have to build a car port next year.

bd cold is what it is. Pretty sunsets and dawns, mind, but brass monkeys too.

warm and wet is a NORMAL English winter, always has been and always will be (modern times anyway)
Plus, we changed the calendar in 1740, which whilst that didn't change the severity of the winter, it pushed it back a few weeks. It explains why traditionally we think of a white Christmas, but we don't actually have white Christmases.

Still blue down south. Amusingly Mrs Puggit just washed her car (first time EVER) and then asked me to come downstairs and help with the frozen hosepipe, she couldn't rinse the soap off the car. I'm afraid I'm not helping with that rofl

Up north (Rossendale and Leeds) I've seen very few frosts this winter - maybe 3? I've not had to wear a coat going to work apart from maybe 5 times. It's very warm. My daffodils are coming up too.

I'm off to Gibraltar with work next week - it's actually colder (see pics ^^^ of snow in Spain) so I will need my coat.

The last day or so has got to the time consuming level of snow clearing. Not sure of the proper depth but somewhere around thigh height where it is just sitting around normally, and the shoveled piles are now going into the greater than head height levels. Plus looks like more to come in the next few days.

So Nokian better appoint a dealer in the Sahara now, kids sledging down a snow covered sand dune , up to 1 metre in the Sahara. This is now taking the piss.

Whilst it hasn't been a snow-fest so far this winter, the weather in this neck of the woods (North Hampshire) has been stunning for most of January. We've had many frosts, as well as a bit of snow last week and crystal clear blue sky days. I've currently got ice 5" thick on the garden pond, one of the water pipes to outside tap has burst (my fault for not draining it). It was -7.5c at 0830 this morning when I was training at the village hall and got to a maximum of 0.7c all day. If I can't have snow, give me weather like this anytime and I'm a happy man.
