By means of distraction from your imminent doom via "Thundersnow" (laugh) , myself and missus FTTM went back to our childhood with straws and bubbles on our deck rails this afternoon , then took photos whilst they immediately froze . Then as a party piece we threw cups of hot water into the air and watched it fall as snow , what else do you do at minus 30 ? Would post pics but you'll need to take some MTFU pills prior to viewing laugh Stay safe

We actually had a covering of real snow last night, then it froze, so very crunch outside at the moment, just waved the hubby off, again they have him down to go over to Sheffield, on to Hull, Leeds and back to Blackburn, so could be an eventful day for him in his truck.

Snowing like mad in north Leeds at the moment. Roads are white over already bounce. Don't think it's going to last though, says it should currently be dry on metoffice site.

Did they expect this today. Went to bed after hours and hours of heavy rain, but this morning got about 1/2 inch on the roads. Think it's sitting on top of ice too. Tidworth, wilts.

Heavy frost here in Herts, looks like there might have been a tiny bit of overnight snow (judging by the tops of cars) but nothing to write home about frown Brother managed to get his van out without a problem so looks like I'm off to the office today!

A light dusting here in Banbury and people are already driving like lemons.

Annnnnnd stopped. Seems to have been a front passing through to the south when blew through fairly quickly. Probably bringing some snow to S Yorks and beyond as it heads south.

I've just watched a man (Driving an Audi A4), struggle to leave a road with so much snow on it, that you can still see the outline of the bricks it's made of. It's a perfectly flat surface.

I didn't realise the throttle in Audis was an on/off switch, but it explains a lot.

We got a light dusting of snow in Darlington overnight, plus the strong winds have returned. Neither of which I was expecting!

Just driven from Bristol to Hastings with no delays or snow problems, left at 04:20. There was obviously some snowfall on the route (M4, M25, A21) last night but all completely clear at the moment. Lots of gritters out on the M25 and A21 this morning. Temperatures just above zero all the way.

I was just watching that big blob of red move south. Coupled with 50mph forecast winds, could be an interesting morning. Or just fecking cold.

No issues at all this morning travelling from Melksham to Bristol, a little dusting on the sides of the M4 but everything else normal and thankfully no fog-light morons either.

I'm flying from LHR tomorrow night so much though I love snow, I hope today is clear!

The roads close to where I live were pretty snowy. 4x4s are out bombing around as usual.

According to the idiot box currently snowing reasonably at the Humber Bridge, which admittedly is opposite side of the country to me, Hartlebury common, but I find that radar normally quite accurate. We even manage to time outdoor work around it on changeable days.

Fingers crossed. Thought no doubt the numpties will then block Chadwick bank. rolleyes

Small amount around my way this morning; main roads and motorways were lovely and clear though.

Back in the office now and we've got a light to medium amount coming down. Hope it hammers it down later.
