Hoping so. 8pm UK time departure from NL, usually hits the UK coastline around midnight. In proper windy stuff they hug the UK coast very tightly. The biggest annoyance in rough weather are the car alarms... no matter how many times they are told, some people still cant manage to disable the internal/motion sensors.

They need a bloody good flogging!
As a frequent overnight traveler on the Portsmouth-Caen/LeHavre routes, I share your pain!

Rode home on the motorbike to here in Kent, I'm sure it was trying to sleet as I arrived.

Worcestershire, fairly breezy, rain has blown through, dog will be skittish on his walk, doesn't like wind, though he parps enough of his own, stinky git.

Proper windy on the M4 between 17 and 19 this morning, otherwise conditions not too bad, rainy but nothing serious.

Internet radio (Kingdom FM) showing Fife getting its arse kicked. Caller to the phone-in was asked if the gridlocked roads were due to the snow, his answer:
"No, it's down to the idiots who can't drive in the snow, there's BMWs and Audi's spinning off everywhere"

It's very quiet here... Do we not have any properly northern PHers, or are they all out doing skids?

I'm properly northern, but there's been too much snow to be coming on here to post! Yet more falling now. I'm wondering if the cross country ski race I am helping with today will need to be cancelled due to too much snow, biggrin

The M80 looks entertaining, in one direction at least.

I know white van drivers have a bad reputation at the best of times, but you really have to question the one who parked sideways across the M80 and doesn't even have their parking lights on in that photo!

I remember when I lived in Yorkshire I used to deliberately go out driving when it was snowing for fun and everyone usually got on with things. Down south in Surrey it rains and everything grinds to a halt.

I bet that bit of road has an incline of about 1%, no doubt soon we'll be hearing of drivers stranded all night, and the winter tyres thread will have another 25 pages of trolling.

I take my Caterham out in the snow and drag poncy discoveries out of ditches with it. It should be law to have them in this country. It's your only contact with the road don't you know!?

Interestingly, after 38 days of no snow here in Colorado, and none forecast for my location(meant to all go further north), it's seen fit to lay down an inch or two in sympathy with the UK.

Parker. South of Denver. So we've missed a lot of the more northerly storms this year.
My colleague in the mountains however....there's a reason snow levels at the resorts are at ~150% of base smile
