So if this continues what are they going to blame when it shows a colder than average month/winter if it continues that is. Still blame it on global warming.

Was warm enough in work (work as a mechanic so kind of work outside as all the doors are open) until about 3.30 then the temp just dropped was -2 when I left at 5.30 and now 2 hours after coming home the car is already frozen.

Both of my cat have decided that indoors is best and by the radiator as well don't blame them tbh.

It's standard for Puggit to promise the moon on a stick, that's the joy of this thread!

-3.5 here on the Herts/Cambs border this morning, and my car windscreen had refrozen at 17:45 when I finally got back to my parking space! Lovely drive out this morning though, fields looked lovely covered in a thick frost.

You don't understand how these threads work.. Puggit and a few others post the 'best' of the possibilities from the current information (models, charts etc), everyone gets excited, conditions change, the possibilities mentioned earlier then turn out not to happen, everyone posts their disappointment and annoyance that the "big one" didn't happen, then another front comes in, repeat until about early March.. Its all quite amusing really smile

Very cold down here today, courtesy of a strong easterly wind. Has dropped away now, and looking like it might dip below freezing, which is unusual for us. A non-snowy picture from earlier today, just to piss the porridge dribblers off. biggrin

Interesting how all the usual suspects that posted the record heat in July, September etc., are now posting the coldest temps tonight as well.

Climate/weather records must be seriously messed up by these human engineered locations.

-11c due Friday with some flurries in Denver. Currently a balmy -4c. We've had 2 snowfalls so far this year, for a total of an inch.

I've a feeling that Jan and Feb could be quite nasty to make up for this.
My brother also lives in Denver and checked in as "safe" via one of those Facebook disaster alerts, surprised to see it was a local wildfire.

Wildfire..during November...in Denver? surely they must be buried in snow around this time???

?????? Nothing to do with climate change, just commenting how the same dozen usual suspects nearly always post all the extremes - to give you some idea, at one point one of these locations was registering -8C, and the nearest other station +2C, it just shows how local temperatures can be and how affected by urban - and especially airport - development.

-8 degrees on the commute today (went as high as +2 at one point) but clear and crisp with a beaut of a sunrise (again).

How is it some trees keep their leaves even after repeated frosts? Meanwhile the ash tree has dropped everything - stems, leaves - just very untidy! Luckily, ash burns really well...

My neighbour was complaining that he couldn't put his (tasteful) xmas lights up in his trees this weekend. Leaves were still very yellow and perky.

After the last 2 nights they are droopy and dark brown - ready to fall when it gets windy!

You'd best post that in the council thread...

7:1 for a white Xmas at Nottingham with Coral - pretty good odds considering they are the same as William Hill's for Penzance!

-10 here. -14 with windchill. Had to get out of the car to go to the post office, got home and cranked the heating right up, not pleasant.

Next Tuesday looks especially nice with a high of -6.
