Would you like a cappuccino or Americano to smell when you wake up?
They don't st on their own doorstep.
You live on their doorstep,
Therefore, they don't st on you.
Consider yourself lucky.

Don't call me a bigot simply because my experience of these people is drastically different to yours.
I'm calling you a bigot because you are demonstrating all of the traits of one, with your refusal to accept that some members of a specific community may well be honest, law abiding and of good character. By showing a clear intolerance and hostility to an entire social group based on your experience of interaction with a few you fit the definition perfectly.

^ People have had (almost exclusively) bad experiences. You on the other hand have painted a comfy rosy picture of the lovely people you know but who haven't trashed your place yet.
You being professionally offended doesn't go down too well

If I've based my opinion on experience of a few, what the bloody hell have you done?

if there are 99 st sarnies and one chocolate one are you going to be willing to test each and every one on the off chance that it might be nice chocolate?

Completely agree, the vast majority are, but not all.

I agree it hasn't gone down well but the truth often doesn't. As you say the experiences of the many don't make it exclusive.

Agreed with you about my experiences of a few but also added proportion by citing my experience of others.

If you were the only innocent man in a room with 99 guilty others would you be happy to be hung next to them?

Mel, your defence of the underclass would be admirable were it not so misplaced. I think everyone here, you included, knows which particular social group is under discussion here, and it doesn't include your neighbours. For clarity, the particular group in receipt of the collective opprobrium here are those who selectively choose to leave their established homes (usually houses) during the warmer months with the sole intention of pillaging and disrupting decent, law-abiding communities who are generally too respectable to fight back in any meaningful manner. Once the weather turns and those people either can't be ripped off for outside tasks badly done, or they have locked away their valuable and easily-disposable items until next year, the "travellers" (and I really don't think we should dignify them with such an apparently-innocent epithet) sod off back to their nice warm homes and spend the money they've looted from the rest of us. Until next time.

There would be more "censored" smilies than words if I told you exactly what I think of them. If that makes me a bigot, send me a badge.

Touch wood, last time i saw "them" was 2009, they pitched up on a public field. Thankfully the heroic boys in blue arrived to talk to them and leave after 5 minutes never to be seen again.

On a side note, riddle me this - if having a problem with the s is "racist" then that implies they are, in fact, a race, which in a roundabout way implies all Irish people are s, which is surely more offensive.

"Added proportion"

"Yeah the odd one or two can probably be a bit of a pain if you look hard enough but the ones who need to keep me sweet so I don't kick off and have them evicted or moved have bent over backwards to make sure they haven't been seen to cause any aggro. They even cut my nan's lawn when she was in hospital. It's you lot who are the problem"

A white 16 plate Audi has been going 'round offering shed painting services scratchchin and as a coincidence a neighbours digger has gone missing. Everything is locked up like Fort Knox at work with small, relatively portable machines blocked in by big machines and the shed doors locked.

They had out pressure washer last year £3,500 and our Hilux the year before.

Well, it seems the police are NOT scared of entering the sites after all. You just need large numbers, choppers, dogs and guns. hehe
