Really? I imagined heavy drinking had a lot to do with him getting elected.
Twice. With a bigger mandate this time than the first time. I'm no Labour supporter ( nor am I a Tory either) but he seems FA more in touch with the general population than the Tories and a third of the Labour Party.

There was talk of the Tories calling an early election if Corbyn got re-elected. I wish they would because I reckon Jeremy could cause them problems.
We have fixed term Parliaments so no practical option to call an early election.

JC is only in touch with similar idiots. I've not yet met somone who will actually vote for him in a GE. My mother is a social worker and a life long labour voter. She will now vote lib dem.

I've borne witness to some monumental work/social train wreck parties over the years but far worse is having a team of male and female colleagues working on a project and staying in the same hotel from Monday to Friday over a prolonged period of time.

Marriage breakdowns, pregnancies, fights, private detectives, Police, criminal damage...

I'll raise my hand and say that the particular period of time I have in mind I was not directly involved in any of the shenanigans but was unjustly implicated during some of the disciplinary processes which stuck in my craw somewhat.

It's quite entertaining watching it all unfurl from my beer addled perspective though and recounting some of the frankly unbelievable stories kills a few hours at times.

No, I'm not about to start either. It would take far too long to type out and I don't think you'd believe me anyway.
I was hotel'd up in West Yorkshire 4nights a week for nigh on 2yrs until last December for work at the same hotel that was also hosting all the training and new staff for the new Primark in the city that was being built (plus the builders) ... that was literally carnage and debauchery night in night out ... awesome to watch from a 3rd party POV ... saw a few wives/gf's turn up unexpected and find their spouses balls deep in someone else ... had them in rooms next to me on most occasions and full blown 6-10 people orgies were a common (weekly) occurance ... messy and I saw many of them cross the doors into the hospital where I was contracting at and into the sexual health and terminations areas ... quite sad really

I know a guy who is a big drinker and has gone from a slim, normal bloke to having a massive beer belly and the complexion of a Ribena Berry, he drinks every night and then goes mental for big nights out, its weird as people sort of expect his "antics",

On the mic at a Christmas do shouts "You're all a bunch of s"

Offering to "ruin" female colleagues

Shouting "Do you swallow" at a group of the HR ladies.

At the end of the day he has never touched anyone which I think is the line that cannot be crossed, words can be brushed off a bit more easily than anything physical, especially when almost everyone else is usually pissed anyway but more worringly I can see him living much longer, he looks utterly dreadful.
laugh

If I worked at your place, I think I'd end up buying him lots of drinks just to see him go off on one.
I was thinking the same thing. I'd sit back happily supping a few beers enjoying the entertainment of watching that. hehe
I have observed on many occasions, didnt go to the last one as had just got of a flight from Atlanta in the morning, best ever, company isnt doing so well so less of this goes on.

Apparently he got pulled for his expenses which were mainly beer and when asked why, he said "Team Building" and his boss said "In future can you do a little less Team Building please" biggrin

Still no update OP? You've left us hanging on for a week now!
Apologies, bad form when the OP does a runner on their own thread.

Needless to say, the bloke in question was a contrite, embarrassed and shamed wreck on Monday. The boss had him apologise to half the office, all rather awkward. Shook his hand and told him not to be such a daft sod in future.

He explained his weekend as waking up from a nightmare every morning and then realising it had all actually happened. His face was a picture as I filled in a few of the blanks.

He's not been out for any post work drinks since. Might be a few weeks yet until the awkwardness between us dissipates hehe

We're only a couple of months from our Christmas do, will give you lot an update if there's a Part II (or III technically given his antics at one a couple of years ago...)

All sounds rather tame compared with some of the posts here!

Well glad it seems to have worked out. Without your man's bad times then we wouldn't have heard some of the gems we have had on this thread!
