I had a relationship with a girl when I was 18 for about 18 months, but distance got in the way as we met at college and we didn't really have that much in common. It was more a convenience than love looking back. I didn't have the same feelings I do now anyway so this is the first woman I have really enjoyed the company of etc...

I need to lose some of my feelings and just enjoy it by the sounds of it. Maybe a few days here and there of not messaging, get back into what I was doing 7/8 months ago and just see her when it suits us both. The lady is near 50 years old and you're 23. What on earth does she have in common with a 23 year old? I am 33 and the vast majority if girls in their early 20's that I've worked with are so immature and I literally have zero in common with them. Sexually yes, they are my type being in their 20's and at the peak of their attractive side but their personalities is a no-no. Plus she is even older than your own Mother. Closer to your Grandmothers age.
