This brought a tear to the eye this morning (I'm a father of a 12yo girl) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-3...

The paucity of information seems odd though. No description of the perps, no age of the girl etc.

Thankfully she escaped/was released. Poor thing...

I have not followed Oxford or this type of crime especially closely, but I just remember a few years back that Oxford sometimes got a special mention when this kind of topic did come up in the news etc. Just search 'Oxford child abuse'.

I'm afraid to say that I don't think this happened.

Add it to a long list of things.

She is bored, want's to get attention and trend on Twitter.

Something doesn't add up.

Not wanting to cast aspersions, but could well be an excuse by the girl for skipping school.

It doesn't fit the normal street grooming abuse type modus operandi as this usually happens late in the evening.

Edited: in light of the information below, perhaps some of the cynics who've posted above and continued in the same vein below should reconsider their posts have a fking long hard look at themselves in the mirror.

My daughters school is just around the corner from there.

The school have sent a email to parents where they say the girl was subjected to 4 hours of rape and abuse.

The BBC seem to think she suffered a 'serious sexual assault' as well:

Why the doubt??

I do find it a bit disturbing how some of you seem to almost have a default reaction of "It didn't happen" confused

Oxford (my area) is the south's Rotherham. Didn't used to be like this.
