Cruise control and ASL now not working XFR

Just had a remap done on the XFR...wow what a difference its savage!

...However coincidentally (or not as the case may be) the cruise control and ASL have stopped working with appropriate dash warnings in both cases. i.e on trying to activate Cruise Control dash reports 'Cruise Control Not Available'

The mappers ran diagnostics today and there was apparently nothing in the code that would have knocked them out.
...but they then picked up a fault code associated with 'speed control module' or similar i.e wheel speed(assumed on the ECU) i'm waiting for the actual code identifier from them which they are certain is causing the problem. They couldn't do much more with it unfortunately so the problem is still there.

Any advice on this greatly appreciated.

Thanks
VNC

Hi

Probably no help, but after I had a re-map on an S Type 2.7D, the cruse control still worked, but the increase and decrease speed buttons stopped working.

Coincidence?

No it wont be coincidence..the remap will have caused this! I had a full health check done on the vehicle after i bought it there were no faults codes or any problems whatsoever.
The cruise worked perfectly up until the remap the day before in fact ...the following day it didn't.

I only realised today after reading through some of the forum posts and trying out the ASL button to see if that has any effect only to find that that throws the fault also. The two functions i assume are linked and have somehow got upset by the ECU changes.

How was your problem resolved... assuming it has been?

No, no Pully upgrade, just Stage 2 exhaust and the remap.

I'm a bit reluctant to change the boost tbh. Besides according to the dyno (dyno dynamics) its putting out a huge whack of power and torque even if you subtracted 10% for error ..its big.

I may do air filters soon but that will probably be as far as i go.

Who did the map?

Have you got the graphs before and after?

Would also be interested in seeing what was pushed out.
I've had the stage 2 done already, thinking of doing the stage 1 and remap.
Got my XFR last week and am getting a stage 1 exhaust tomorrow, may do filters and a map and that will be it.
Interested to hear where people recommend and the results.
